(I can't figure out how to imbed it into the post sorta thingy)

At the time... this was written more with fond nostalgia than heartbreak or regret.

It's instrumental by the way... no embarrassing vocals/lyrics from me :P

I wrote a song for my girlfriend about killing my brother (it was awesome).

about 3 weeks later he killed himself.

he had never heard the song but true story.

BTW that's a very sad story :(

Here's one I wrote for an ex I was truly in love with at one point... needless to say she was a heartless manipulative bitch who broke my heart in such a way that it took me a couple years to get over (I know that sounds emo, but if I gave all the details I'm sure most men could sympathize) . Things ended up geting quite sour between us, and so I wrote this...

"Siren"

And the day that they all leave you hanging

The day that no one else plays your game

I hope the emptiness surrounds you

I hope the echoes drive you insane

Like a siren you cry out your song

And its beauty moved me

But it was poison, a curse all along

Oh how you fooled me

And the day that it comes back to haunt you

The day the ghosts chill the skin

I hope the shadow engulfs you

I hope the undertow pulls you in

Like a siren you cried out your song

And it's beauty moved me

But it was poison a curse all along

Oh how you fooled me

SIREN (I will hear you no more, I will hear you no more)

SIREN (Now I've figured you out, and there's reasons to fear you)

SIREN (Will you still cry your song out when nobody hears you?)

SIREN (Your masked ways may lead them back to your home)

SIREN (Surround yourself with victims, inside you're alone)

I'm not sure if anyone is listening to the music being shared here but I dug out a pair of tracks from around 2008, one is called With that was when I got with the girl and is all pianos and xylophones and a badly sampled john bonham drum track, and then then Without is from after her and it's just a piano piece I wrote and ran a track of rain I recorded from a sort of castle in cornwall over the top of it, but it's still quite a good bit of music. They surprised me by how good they were, and I'm sort of angry about how much quality material I got out of what was basically an awful girlfriend. They are both essentially built from piano pieces so they aren't really electronic and they are daftly emotional but if anyone listens I'd be glad to hear what you think

I haven't had a girlfriend in years. It's mostly great.

and I'd mostly agree but last night I had this weird dream. Constant feeling of disappointment throughout. I met a nice girl and we were getting on really well but I knew it was a dream and she wasn't real. Even waking up was horrible.

The more music that gets put in this thread, the quicker that it's being moved across to music discussion.

So keep it up with the sad tales of no girlfriends.
