Guest soundcrash
Soundcrash presents a Flying Lotus all-nighter at the O2 Academy Brixton! Not only is this the biggest Flying Lotus UK headline show to date, this show will feature two very special FlyLo performances as the most influential electronic music producer in the world showcases cuts from his hotly-anticipated album “Until the Quiet Comes” surrounded by his Brainfeeder posse to show London how they do things back in LA. Composed, according to FlyLo, as “a collage of mystical states, dreams, sleep and lullabies”, “Until the Quiet Comes” has the distinct feel of this nocturnal trip. From the twitching descent into a subconscious state and the out-of-focus time-ether of the journey that follows, the sound is an unhinged, yet elegant evolution of the melodic and rhythmic interplay that is woven into the DNA of Flying Lotus’ aural personae. His inimitable penchant for stylistic mingling and genre-melting has contributed significantly to shift music in a direction that makes intellectual leaps without forsaking the all-important heft of a bassline or unimpeded ‘swing’ of a drum beat – the same way so many masters of soul music have infused their songs for lovers and dancers with brilliant and heady subtext for decades. Plus performaces from: - Thundercat (Live) - The Gaslamp Killer - Lapalux (Live) - Kutmah (DJ Set) - Jeremiah Jae (Live) Tickets and information here: http://www.soundcrashmusic.com/flying-lotus-live/
beerwolf
That description is so far up it's own arse its ridiculous. Egotistical bullshit at it's very worst. In fact reading that justifies my already ardent dislike for him.
Hugh Mughnus
That description is so far up it's own arse its ridiculous. Egotistical bullshit. Agreed. I wonder if Flylo would endorse that description or if it's simply bad/egotistical/highly opinionated marketing/PR?
Soloman Tump
The warehouse project gig is cheaper and has a better line up.
spratters
The warehouse project gig is cheaper and has a better line up. Yeah I'm planning on WHP. Wanted to see Shed at some stage too.
