eugene
does it offer anything interesting to people who already got their teevo hooked up to pc with hdmi+wireless mouse and keyboard ?
Ego
Just controller input to a consolefied Steam interface it seems. The text input method for controllers looks interesting. Looks neat. It'll surely attract some more console gamers to the PC. What is a "first person browser" though? I guess it's meant to be some kind of joke? eugene
oh yeah, that angle (ie attracting console users) is really interesting, hope they succeed. console death and pcs becoming completely mobile is inevitable, but still, it might quicken the process. GORDO
I don't understand how this is supposed to work. Is it standalone hardware thing? is it just a connection from pc to tv? is it installable on tvs?
Squee
I don't understand how this is supposed to work. Is it standalone hardware thing? is it just a connection from pc to tv? is it installable on tvs? lol A lot of people have their PCs connected to their TVs through HDMI and a lot of people connect their Xbox360 controller to their PC so they can play racing games or third person games. But before this Big Picture thingie you had to navigate the Steam interface with a mouse and keyboard, and now you don't have to. Now all we need are Steam boxes. GORDO
so it's just a way to navigate steam with a controller? meh
