Recommended Posts

Concise, succinct and targeted material specially produced for the broadcast, refreshment and entertainment industries. Melody, rhythm and metre. New ways to travel. Applied Music Vol.1 is the first in an occasional series of library-style albums from Café Kaput. Applied Music albums are organised into thematic selections and feature tracks chosen for their immediacy, simplicity of arrangement and distilled sense of mood.

Vol.1 - Science & Nature explores our relationship with environments, travel and industry, among other topics.

I'm assuming just Jon Brooks, by the sound of it. No one else has yet released anything on Cafe Kaput have they?

i meant his current alias' georges vert and dd denham (that's why i put different artists in quotes).

finally got this and it's an amazing set of electronic library music- in the vein of late 70s-early 80s bruton, parry or conroy. excellent presentation as well. brooks is really at the top of his game, able to seamlessly make sounds that seem to have been handpicked from the original labels they've been influenced by.

also, according to the credits, the music is by lord, kinmel and st.george (obviously all jon brooks) but it's that kind of detail that keeps this inside the library music dimension.

Best Cafe Kaput release so far?

I had severe doubts about this question, but I'm starting to think the answer may just be "yes"
