An Atlantic crossover brings together Detroit’s Stingray313 and Glasgow’s Galaxian for a very special 12”. More collaboration than split, the EP sees each artist fly solo as well as combining their admirable analogue abilities. Pressures are high from the outset, Galaxian twists and teases patterns in the reverbing reverence of “Storm Coming.” BPMs surge as the two merge for the cold “NU-1000.” Lilting notes ghost between rasping rhythms. And it is around such racing drums that warmth flows, as in the meandering softness of “Graphene.” Beats don’t abate as Stingray takes the helm for the blistering bass of “Dopant.” The duo cap some of the more ferocious elements at they don lab coats for “CaCiSi4010.” Tones are measured, friction accelerated as molecules are bombarded and fired. “Totally Controlled” allows the tempo to drop, but just a smidgen, for heavily vocoded samples and faint notes lower the lights.

Sweet!...sounds ace! Anyone know where the digitals will be available? Didn't Sementica put out some Shipwrec stuff on their bandcamp? Pretty much everything I have heard from Mr Ingram has been awesomesauce so will definitely buy this. I have actually been snapping up all the DJ Stingray stuff that I can recently...there are loads of EPs scattered around bandcamp in addition to his excellent albums on WeMe. Got some Urban Tribe stuff too. I would be happy to post the links if anyone is interested.

The show begins with "CaCuSi4O10" and "Totally Controlled" from the EP. The intro of the first one, oh my holy god, absolute lushness.

I really wish there were more artists producing such beautiful fast electroish stuff. (~150-175BPM)

Sounds good.

Been warming up to Stingray lately. He used to make more standard Detroit techno which didn't really excite me. But nowadays, he's in the business of fusing AE_live sounds with Detroit. And that shit hits well home. That's exactly what the world was missing. ;D

This is the future techno we are working towards. I am certain more will follow, as we are accelerating towards a singularity moment
