  1. i was really excited to get this: a compilation of contemporary library music by artists i'd never heard of. well, it's contemporary alright, and this first volume is certainly all acoustic music, but it's more on the nu jazz sound than library. in fact, it's more a loungier version of the erotic lounge compilations put out by comfort sounds so it's a rather loose interpretation of the library sound volume 2 is the electronic version and (for me) this is the worst interpretation. seriously, this is basically dance/trance type music. i understand how this can function as "library music" but at least, if you're going to represent italian library at least be aware of the pedigree most are going to associate with that title. anyway, great covers: not so great music
  2. dj philip seymour hoffman died of heroin overdose
  3. try no.75 'the digitariat - why men don't have a clue' also, you can download the compilations to see (hear) if anyone catches your ear. the compilations appear after every 100 releases
  4. 510 free releases whilst it lasts http://www.smellthestench.net/net.htm
  5. this is a great film. probably my favorite anna nicole smith film along with 'anna nicole smith: exposed'. this one is more philosophical though. what would you do if you were a blonde bimbo with giant tits stuck in a skyscraper with fake terrorists? that's right- you'd take the helicopter and fly out of there. except anna nicole smith isn't you, and the helicopter is out of gas. see what i mean?

  7. there is a sequence in the opening of this film where clark asks his dame whether he can escort her home and she says "no" because she's getting a ride from the local douchebag crew- so clark runs faster than a train across smallville and reaches his house before the douchebags get there. they ask him "how did you get here?" he answers "i ran". they don't seem impressed. that's this movie (in a nutshell) heeeeeelarious film. i love all the silly situations that humans put themselves in only to be rescued by superman (part 3 was basically that, repeated over and over)- then the minute he goes off to boink the lovely margot kidder (courtney cox of the 70s) they're screaming "where the fook is superman mang?" also has the extremely cheesy line "hey zod, mind stepping outside so we can kick one another in the face?" zod is a dude who has a thing for getting people to kneel for him

  11. this is the cruelest show i've ever seen. two teams live in a house: one is in the future with all amenities like heated beds, food, tv, internet, phone, tablets, nice clothes and hot showers. the other team lives in a cave with bread, no heat or fire, fruits and caveman bearskins. yesterday, they had to fight with these sticks that had electric charges on their end. the host of the show said "you'll have to get padded because you don't want to get shocked directly to the heart". they also had to do this on a ramp that was about 8 feet up. one guy broke his leg today they did a challenge in freezing weather, in forty degree water. the host of the show said "that water must be freezing" then asked the girl that lost "so how did it feel?" also, you can actually tell them how to torture these guys- so i voted they should make the "unpopular" guy swim with hungry alligators in shallow but muddy water http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2XWkETi49AI
  12. here is a movie trying to tell you a story about the first legal brothel in nevada but i'm guessing the director has never been in a brothel- so the film bypasses telling you that story and instead focuses on the frustrated wife. anyhoo- it's got quite a number of hot chicks playing the hookers, but since we never focus on that- it might as well not really have even bothered. helen mirren is looking very foxy in this too
  13. i thought this was going to be great (considering everyone is raving about it) but ended up being a big "meh" for me. it's been shot very well- but it's more like an artsy look at a slave's condition rather than an actual account of a slave's life. i didn't even get to the parts with brad pitt due to how uninteresting i found it. has nobody watched roots? i got to the part where christan bale is giving those coats to amy adams then left the room (my girlfriend is still watching it).
  14. holyshit- this was batshit crazy and amazing. one of the greatest superhero films i've ever watched (right up there with the santo classic 'misterio en las bermuda' 9 italian expats living in spain getting rescued by a guy in a pajama suit out of 10
