  1. Yeah I really love his work, discovered in my legendary swap mart vinyl crate I bought like 12 years ago (along with afx, autechre, soul slinger acetates, dj krush, lots of test pressings and deleted jungle stuff, etc.). It was Vakio sampler 10 inch. Some of the most blissful ultra-minimal stuff I'd ever heard. Very sad that he has passed. That Amoeba video is great, some of his fav lps sound really cool, definitely going to explore some of those composers.
  2. good to see a master still going strong
  3. The bandcamp deleted one from 2014? I imagine if its not on slsk someone on reddit might have a copy there was a vaporwave archive for a while but i think it was mp3s only Most fitting format for the genre though imo haha
  4. Hey game music buddy's... Eyeliner and I did the score/ OST to the new iOS game Marbloid, and it's about drop as a limited cassette and digital in a few weeks, thought you may be interested! Cheers!
  5. Oh wow that menu looks tasty, thanks for the tip cw! Since I'll be back in a few months now it looks like, I'll have a place to try out :) Nice, I'm actually pretty close by in Jakarta atm. Try going to China Town. They have some excellent food and it's not so clinically clean there. Also when I was in Singapore I stayed in Geylang, which is by Singaporean standards "a bad neighborhood".. actually really peaceful. You can find some frog porridge shops there. Then there's the Haw Par Villa theme park which gets quite interesting.. Oh nice are you there for travel or business? Jakarta seems interesting. Thanks for the tips there, didn't have a chance to do much as it was a lot of work stuff in the day and super tired after each day haha, but did get to see some cool things. Clinical is a good way of describing Singapore, but it has it's charm and everyone's very nice. Fascinating the taxi driver told me that he sees more people come for business travel than leisure. It's funny I'm usually into trying to new foods but I just couldn't get into it there, no matter what I tried. My favorite moment was a surreal light/music show at Marina Bay Sands over the river, and they were playing a Sakamoto cover. Totally mezmorizing. I'm here for travel, this was the cheapest place to fly to in Indonesia from Cambodia. To be honest I would rather be in Singapore than here, but as this was my entry point to Indonesia I decided to stay for a few days. My plan is to continue overland to the east end of Java and then by ferry to Bali. After that I really don't know.. Anyway, I've got a plane ticket from Kalimantan to Malaysian Borneo but not sure I will use that, it only cost around 19USD and I needed some kind of of proof of onward travel so I bought it mostly for that. I think I'm slowly becoming Asian. Sun was shining this morning and I was annoyed by that. Why can't it be just nice and cloudy so I don't burn myself? lol Haha wild, me too, esp with the food thing, I can't eat more than half a portion of American food and it all tastes way too seasoned and salty and cheesy/greasy. Haha, I'm sure that'll change right back for me in a week. Ooh noted thanks chen! My colleague who lives there kept telling me to check out the Night Safari, so I will definitely do that on my next trip there soon. Sounds adventurous. Very sad about the domestic servants there.

  7. By myself in Singapore on a business trip atm... Thought it would be a super fun adventure, but it's kinda lonely as I don't know anyone here and I'm just walking through endless malls and food courts and taking taxis to tourist areas. Right now I'm sitting on a bench in the middle of a downtown busy area, people watching and just absorbing the city lights and sounds, ambient music rings through out the countless high rises and swirls around. There are so many high end stores, it's unreal, obscure fashion from paris and Japan... Gucci/lv stores everywhere I go. This place makes LA and NY look trashy. I just want to put on some Basinksi or 2 8 1 4 on headphones and close my eyes.
  8. Unintentional vaportrap / idm...
  9. Hey peeps! I just finished this remix, and wanted to share it here with my fellow house heads. It was part of a remix competition and I heard the vocal and dug it so just made this for fun. Discohouse dance pop fusion stuff...
  10. Damnit guys now I really want a fat gourmet cheeseburger but it's 9:45 in the morning. :/
  11. What if I told you...... .... .... ............... I love my watmm peepz!!!
  12. Ahh ok that makes sense. It's amazing how a simple variation can make an already beautiful song sound like a brand new piece. I've noticed similar patterns in my own work, when I strip down my favorite stuff I've done, the more raw / minimal versions are impressive, like you can finally hear even more music between the notes. :)
  13. Just checked this, it's really pretty and so relaxing. So he actually tracked this as a separate session? ... Just the song and then he slowed it down with high quality timestretch or do you think there's more to it?
  14. I really like Flightwave. Moody hynpogogic ... Also re: Windows96 and FM Skyline +1 , innovative peeps.
  15. My friend just dropped his long awaited ambient lp. Really good stuff, has a Global Communications vibe, but with some Drexciya modular quirkiness... https://danarmstrong.bandcamp.com/releases
  16. Shit, AI knows house music.
  17. Loved this track enough when I first heard it to buy the LP. Cool record. An eclectic mix of soulful house, hip hop and chillout/ambient. 3 or 4 tracks incl that single on there hit me hard. Sundrenched, rootsy, lazy but intricate goodness with world flavors and timelessness. Gotta say I was biased a but though, debuting it on headphones while on a cruise ship, top deck near the pool over the Atlantic, just sublime.
  18. Estranged from his wife.Next to a cold cheeseburger and empty Diet Coke cans. In the dark with the glowing rays of Fox news & Twitter casting throughout a cold and lonely white house master suite. Accidentally texting the wrong Sean (Spicer instead of Hannity), longing for those GOP golf outtings back when people weren't such morons, dreaming of the wall, knowing better days are ahead... As he drifts to sleep, voices from within call out "You're a killer Donny, ruler of New York, you got this. Build it and they will come. Build. The. Wall."
  19. Nice track man, love the rollong piano
  20. Anybody been dancing to keep warm this winter?
  21. Yeah from what I've been gathering the way this went down is unprecedented and also given this Syria/Afghan withdraw on a whim (+ govt shutdown), all just so he can save money for his wall. This is nuts. If we were ever vulnerable to be attacked by lone wolves/nutcases or betrayed by allies etc. it's now. Also I put on some old timey neo con trumpism am talk radio show in the car on my way home today (since my city has no talk shows on terrestrial that aren't the above demographics), and even those guys are pretty shocked and freaked out about Mattis stepping down and the rest of the events. White nationalists seem to be the only ones celebrating lol.
  22. Well, kids, we've officially arrived... Welcome to ... The United States of The Democratic People's Republic of Russia-Merica LIVE! . Sponsored by David Duke & Ann Coulter
