  1. The fact that the guy who runs it is a scammer who happily takes cash without sending stuff out? It's been almost 18 months since pre-orders for HKE's Dragon Soul went up and I'm pretty sure none have been shipped yet. Supposedly there were delays in vinyl manufacture but the tapes haven't even been sent, and the label's released other record since then. Including the Floral Shoppe LP which a lot of people haven't received. Supposedly a lot of people never received Human Story 3. I was warned off buying from OESB a couple of years ago with tales of them not shipping stuff out in the past but decided to ignore the warning, wish I hadn't. Someone told me the label's PayPal got shut down because it received too many claims for refunds. The guy who runs it also runs HVRF and outright refuses to remove albums from the label when requested by the artist (he made some transphobic comments I wasn't comfortable with so asked not to be associated with the label and have my two releases removed - he refused and said if I made a claim to have the albums removed he'd go out of his way to promote the albums and host them elsewhere, before also going on a rant about trans women being 'men playing dress up', so y'know, fuck that guy) Yeah I preordered Floral Shoppe and Human Story 3 and have to to receive either. We spoke to Ferraro very recently and he claims the vinyl pressing of HS3 was done without his permission, pretty much a bootleg lol. That's atrocious. Esp since HS3 is a serious effort of completely original compositions. Not that bootlegging Floral Shoppe is cool either but just a context thing.
  2. Beginning of Primavera track is very creepy, unmistakable CtD vibes with a modern twist, can't wait till that gets released. Just heard it for the first time now. That's some good stuff for sure. Definitely mysterious vibes and I hear the come to daddy sounding parts. Reminds me a bit of a 70s murder mystery feel.
  3. But yeah for all non pretentious purposes dude is lame for ripping off others. Waiting for his irrefutable argument that ripping off other vw artists is more vaporwave than vaporwave / anti-art / meta / future ala hardvapour irony. Lol
  4. Vaporwave has always and will always be an enigma to some people, brilliance to others and a joke to the rest. Nobody needs to "get it". It doesn't even need any listeners to survive. What some guy named PZA does or doesn't do won't affect that in the slightest imo. (That's not to say I don't think he's a lazy brat or whatever). Vaporwave is invisible, invincible, forever irrelevant, yet always trending. It is dead and alive.
  5. I used to think gabber was silly, trashy, low intelligent, and even negative energy... Now I enjoy it every now and then due to the fact that the primitive and minimal repetition and all the white noise and foldback distortion is actually soothing to my ears. So oddly, I find gabber relaxing and entrancing-sometimes though, and many tracks are pure shit of course lol. I also think it's fun and wacky to hear the over the top bravado and macho-ness of many of the DJs when they say phrases or sample dark movies etc. You find a lot of that in the Masters of Hardcore label esp during the y2k era with the fusion of hardcore and gangsta rap. But I will say to this day I love me some Virus - New Elite Force, even bought the vinyl on discogs.
  6. This turned out to be an mp3 CD-R.What exactly is this and what did it sound like? I'm intrigued by the surreal cover. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9MMErrON7Vwhttps://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-omC5OZca7Y It sounded mp3, I bought it here: http://www.tikandtok.com/salesindex.htm I was looking for a CD with these tracks: https://www.discogs.com/Tik-Tok-Tik-Tok-EP/release/297069 Oh wow cool I'll have to check this out. 10. Sometimes? 24/7/365 playa. Lol... Any particular releases you've been excited about lately? Also what is watmms take on newwer jungle / dnb? I listen much more the old-school stuff but remember during the early 2010s I checked out quite a bit of new dnb at the time and some of it was really good (black sun empire, outside agency, etc), but sometimes too clean and perfect for my taste-though other times it hit the spot.
  11. This thread is pure, I love it. Sometimes all you want is dat rollin raga shit mane.
  12. For the last 3 months I've been almost habitually researching and discussing AI with different people. My new job is with a tech company that's heavily involved in IoT, embedded, sensors, etc. While we don't work on AI per se, these elements tie into machine learning via things like image / voice recognition with some of our partner brands. It's totally surreal, this period we're in. It seems like people are starting to take the implications of a soon fully connected and intelligent world more seriously. The good and the bad. Exciting times. As far as AGI goes, I recently have been wondering if it's an inevitable evolution of species, and whether our pursuit of ethically programming machines to protect and work with humans instead of around us is a futile and naive excercise, or if we will be able to create an all-encompassing enough language/universe that can cover all bases in terms of expressing human value--because keep in mind, that system would have to be a constantly growing open-source project with the most fail-proof architecture we could imagine. I mean, is it even feasible? Time will tell...
  13. Dude, I live like 20 mins from Paradise valley and grew up pretty close by. This city (Phoenix) is like extreme wealth side by side lower middle class. No joke, the homes in PV are in the tens of millions. Some of them look like entire hotels lol. It's like a mini beverly hills in the lush mountains and golf courses. We drive around sometimes just to gaze at the architecture and sunsets. Those homes are RIGGED to the tee in security. She must have been either really clever or maybe knew a secret way inside.
  14. Nice. I love cEvin Key's Music For Cats LP, really its own league.
  15. Sierra Games presents... No One Lives Forever OST
  16. Suki Girlz sounds like nothing else doesn't it? It's my favorite release of his, tied only with Last American Hero / Adrenaline's End.
  17. Search Google for this image. Sorry couldn't find it. Post:null
  18. Haha.. good predictions. And yeah I wonder. Pls Richard do an ambient or noise / industrial release, something extreme! And if not extreme just make it really pretty or really hypnotic or both or a combination
  19. What do you guys think a new aphex release would sound like? Not like been sitting around or outtakes but new new.
  20. Flol I'm so much of an audiophile, I had the top ear doctor in Germany perform surgery on my ears while I was coming out of the womb to disable my hearing permanently so that the only memories of sound I have through out life are the pure sound of my mother's heart beat and internal processes.
