  1. oh lord, i'm sorry man. ;-/ 'Preciate it Delet.
  2. Not to contribute more drama here, and I've been M.I.A. the past couple of months, but I just found out a couple of hours ago that my step brother had shot himself and is in the hospital in CA. Not sure if he's gonna make it. Right on fucking New Year's. Sorry to be a downer everyone.
  3. A certain arrogant 81-year-old prick won a 22nd term as the sole House of Representatives member of our state. A couple of weeks ago ago he went to a high school as a guest speaker regarding the topic of suicide and said something along the lines that it was the parents' fault that that student committed suicide because they didn't raise him properly. Apparently he also called another student an asshole simply for stating his opinion. Shows that more than half of this state's demographic are idiots - the ones who voted him back in. But at least it looks like marijuana will finally get legalized, taxed, and regulated here for recreational consumption. Aight, peace.
  4. Yeah plus one for this, my Facebook feed is usually really interesting too. Suspended my account a couple of months ago in a bid to become slightly more productive but it's not really working - think it's time I just accepted the fact that I am in fact a master of the art of procrastination. Pretty pleased with myself for managing to go cold turkey though, thought it would be way more difficult to go without FB but it's actually really easy. Only a couple of ppl on my FB are drama queens, but most are just boring. Main reason I keep mine open is to keep in touch with mates I met during my time in Japan, but that was ages ago. At least there's sometimes interesting stuff from some pages I follow. I deactivated my account for the first couple of months this year, but reopened it since.
  5. I still occasionally get the urge to post something I like or feel passionate about on Facebook, but have to fight that urge on account of my Facebook friends either not giving a fuck or it being too awkward for them to respond in any way. I wonder how much in common I really have with most of them. Facebook. Staying connected isn't necessarily the same as staying in touch. I feel like I have more in common with fellow WATMMers than most Facebook friends, no matter how disagreeable I seem.
  6. Finally got my new Lenovo Y50 yesterday. Best laptop I've ever owned.
  7. DL'd Sheath and LFO (self-titled EP) last night. I bought the CD for Sheath seven years ago but can't find it. The latter I have not yet heard.
  8. ^ Yeah I bought TR last night, but will download later. $800 for a scarf?? That thing better be woven from the pubic hair of virgins then (sorry, Louis Black reference)
  9. Cheap and month-to-month are big selling points. I remember how desperate I was looking for a new place back in May 2013 towards the end of my apartment lease.
  10. The resemblance to Biohazard/Rez Evil is no coincidence - it was developed by the same guy (Shinji Mikami). Apparently it's getting crap reviews on Steam tho. Had to find out what this chick was about. She has plenty of not-so-subtle poses, but seems like a wet dream for teenage boys more than anything. But her attire is just too weird for me. At least Tina Fey has talent and real-life existence going for her. Looks like The Designers Republic are gonna help with the upcoming Formula Fusion, which is being developed by ex-Wipeout developers from Psygnosis. Still in the early dev phases tho.. 11. Or diabeetus, depending on the amount of sugary maple syrup or blueberry/strawberry jam added to it and how much is consumed. Damn, it's sounding better the more I talk about it tho. Latest FWP is the moment I walked into the bank today, two young female tellers at separate counters say to me "I can help you over here!" I had to pick one, but felt bad about ditching the other one. Cos I knew they both wanted to help me. Oh well, nothing personal right.
  12. Yshf - Sorry to hear you're going thru the breakup. Though I've never had that experience, classic Squarepusher is a good choice. Any '90s TJenkinson I can dig, especially Big Loada. StephG - Damn right. PC gamers 4 lyfe
  13. Getting antsy for my new laptop to arrive. Supposed to arrive between the 9th and the 27th, so I guess I'll wait another two weeks. Also just tried the first ever post-apocalypse RPG, Wasteland, from 1988. They put in new ambient music and semi-remastered grafix for the Steam version. The FWP is when my team got flatlined by three tunnel lizards in a mine, after killing more than 20 varmints in another cave. Might start a new game later. Feels like I'm the only PC gamer here. I guess you're pretty much an outcast if you don't play PS4 or 3DS in the Current Games thread.
  14. Hmm..didn't find out about this until today. I thought it was a joke at first, but it's due out in just over a month. [youtubehd]6d60v1OErEY[/youtubehd] I'm impressed with the Himalayan setting. But I'm wondering how well-received it will be, and whether it will perform decently on my new Lenovo Y50 laptop I ordered (which is still in shipment). This Pagan Min guy kind of reminds me of Hoyt from FC3. But it's weird and kinda creepy how warm a welcome he gives to the protagonist, like "what's he buttering me up for?"
  15. Real bummer. He was with Warp since their early days. R.I.P.
  16. More a success for my state than a personal one, but a federal judge ruled that the ban on same-sex marriage in our state is unconstitutional, and therefore will be legal starting tomorrow. While the local reaction to it on FB is mostly positive, there are still some ignorant, bible-thumping fuckwits who continue to embarrass the rest of us.
  17. Still on my first week ever listening to this, but I'm hooked. Seems like my favourite track changes each day. Jumps from Twitch of the Nerve to Franco Zoom to Nowhere to Skyline and then to Set Pieces. I love the idea of gathering old pieces and reassembling and reviving them into something new, kind of like scavenging. But I don't think I've heard it with this much intensity before.
  18. Are you sure? I thought watmm were blowing their load all over it.... Really? Must have missed that bit. I'll have to give it a listen regardless then.
  19. Actress - Ghettoville Aphex Twin - Syro Flying Lotus - You're Dead! VHS Head - Trademark Ribbons of Gold All of these I've only begun listening to in the past week. Ghettoville is weather-dependent I think, particularly for an overcast, cold day. There were a couple of decent trax, but it didn't sound as blissful to me as R.I.P. did. Syro was OK. I've only listened to it once though. Still not as fun to listen to as, say, Hangable Auto Bulb or RDJ album though. You're Dead! was mostly meh whatever. Never Gonna Catch Me was really the only worthwhile track I thought - should've been a single, really. Trademark Ribbons of Gold is my favourite out of all of these, but it's also the only one that came out before 2014, which is kind of sad. I'm really enjoying it nonetheless though. This is the only release by VHS head I've heard so far. I hear Persistence of Vision isn't as good as TRG, so I'll take your guys' word for it. Tootiredtorateanything/10
