    If you look between the lines of the "making EDM has never been so fun!" demo This thing is indeed CS-80-ish But there are only tiny flashes of it in the demo The same thing happened with the an1x Where it really does nail the classic CS-80 brass sound (see Blade Runner OST) But you have to sift through 10 different demos to catch 3 seconds of it Because everyone treats it like a Trance Machine With permanent dotted-8th delay This CS is actually exactly what I wanted Aside from no ribbon It's not analog but I don't care about that anymore Life's too fucking short And I just wanna make music In the same way I'm that I'm not concerned with my girlfriend's internal organs I also just don't care about the guts of a synth But yeah it's too expensive

    if these were like $250, i'd buy all of 'em except the organ (even though that looks decent.........for a fucking organ) i've gone back and forth on these in the last hour i really like the Yamaha AN1X (which is what the CS guts are based on) which is funny because I was saying a couple weeks ago: "a nice little AN1X would be nice" thing can nail the CS brass sound even though it was marketed as a Trance Machine but ~$550usd is a bit much I think the DX and the CP look decent it'd be nice to have a compact little Rhodes for Bitches Brew or Music Is Rotted One Note vibes but i just wish these were a little cheaper i think at $350-400 I'd instantly play eenie-meenie-miney-moe and buy one (but not the organ of course lol) anyway, watmm asked for a little DX and they got a little DX and so what, now you don't want a little DX? I thought you said you wanted a little DX?

    What? Where'd you get that idea? Have you ever done psychadelics? I kind of agree with him and I have done psychedelics but I think it's just that they aren't for everyone. Sometimes they can induce delusions but I think they can also enlighten you and see beyond your own perception of things. Both, you only get the latter in the first few trips. After that, it's all downhill. Nothing to gain from these drugs since you've already experienced them.     I don't know about collapsing the illusion, all of our perceptual experiences are hallucinations, whether drug induced, sober, or suffering from some malady; drug trips just play around with the knobs giving us different perceptions (turning different computational networks on or off, or turning their signal strength up or down, feeding inputs from one module to some other module, etc). The Cartesian Theater is almost certainly a real thing btw, it's just another unconscious process (or set of interacting processes), one that creates the illusion of consciousness. The thing I find silly is the notion that they somehow lift the veil and show people the true universe or some other nonsense like that. 1) Yes i understand that experiences on LSD entail hallucinations. 2) The Cartesian Theater is logically absurd. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homunculus_argument) My point was that LSD seems to cut through this illusion of being distinct from your experiences. 3) Consciousness isn't an illusion. It is literally the one and only thing that can't possibly be an illusion.
