Reddit is no different than here. Just a bunch of uninformed fans takes stabs in the dark!
It is odd though that this track hasn't been identified. It doesn't strike me as some deep cut of library music so you'd think it would have been identified by now.
I'm the opposite. TH sounds so flat to me when compared to Campfire Headphase or Geogaddi. Those two albums I can hear layer after layer but TH still isn't striking that chord with me. Go figure. It must be me because you're not the first person to make that observation.
I'm still waiting for this to happen. Just like you, when I listen to Geogaddi & Campfire Headphase, I hear layer upon layer upon layer of sonic beauty, yet when I listen to Tomorrow's Harvest, I'm just not getting that depth. It seems muddled and shallow to my ears. I'm sure it will hit me at some point too.
well, considering the film is gonna be pretty shit anyway, i don't think that would be a good idea.
i agree with you though, that if there were to be a good TRON sequel, Gerald Donald would have to do the score
You're basing this opinion off what? I take it you haven't seen the film.
I'm hearing a sample from Yellow's "Oh Yeah" (the iconic 80's soundtrack song) in the opening seconds of Trademark Ribbons of Gold. It's that "booowww" sound.
There are literally dozens of other moments on this album that are triggering memories from my VHS watching days. The synth that hits at 2:41 on that same track is, I swear, from a crappy horror movie I've seen. Shit, this album is more nostalgic than any BoC I've listened to, and I only say that since the word "nostalgic" is constantly thrown around when referring to them.
