    Envane

I'm looking at it pretty closely on my end and, while I see some unevenness in the lettering itself, I still don't think it has that much of a pronounced U-shaped line when compared to Pule above it, or Calbruc on the flipside.

I know you have Chiastic on vinyl - pull out the LP and compare the letter U in Pule to the letter in Nuane. Also note the small but present period between the first two letters (although this may just be a part of the font design, since there's a bigger more pronounced period at the end of the title). It's easiest to see the difference on the inside sleeve where Pule is printed vertically and larger than the rest of the text. You can clearly see the "backbone" line on the U in Pule is on the right side of the letter, and even comes down to a little "foot", while the "U" in Nuane has no such line or foot. Seems pretty cut and dry to me! It also makes a lot more sense for me (personally) to consider that Cichlisuite is all versions of Cichli, evidenced most apparently in the track Tilapia, where you can pretty easily hear the mutated melody from Cichli represented. I'm fairly certain that notable percussive elements from Cichli appear (processed) all over Yeesland as well. Of course, this is all just like, my opinion, man. All the sound design speculation is one of the reasons that Autechre are so fantastic to listen to, for me. Edit: Upon further close inspection of my LP, every other place in the print layout where a letter U appears, it has the line on the right side of it. Track names, band name, everything...except Nuane!

As much as I see Envane mentioned here, I hardly ever see anyone bring up the notion that all four "quarters" are actually remixes of Nuane, or, as it is printed on my LP jacket: N.Vane.
  4. Holy shit, that's you? I never expected to find you on this very forum. Great job on the soundtrack! And agreed, Skyrim's soundtrack is as atmospheric as they come. I've never thought I'd ever say or write this, but I really do enjoy getting on my horse and taking a night walk around the forest areas. Ahem. And then getting fucking ripped apart by bears, sabre cats and fucking assassins. Thank you sir! My music gets around pretty well when it comes to soundtracking. In addition to my work on Eufloria I've done scoring work for the Discovery Channel and I've licensed out a bunch of my published works for use in various short films, web shows, and so on. The next "bigger" one is an independent film that will premiere at next year's Mutek festival which uses the track "Luke's Rusty Drum" from my 2007 album New Drugs For Nuclear Families Of The Seventies.
  5. Oh wow, you made the music for Eufloria? Badass! Great job man. Always neat to see when a watmmer's involved in something rad. Yeah, that was all me! And thank you - I'm actually STILL working on new content for the game...we have an iPad version coming in the next month or so and I've got about 40-45 minutes of exclusive new music for that port. It's pretty hilarious how a single project can keep expanding for years...
  6. First off, thanks to the OP for mentioning my soundtrack - that's awesome! For anyone who wants to hear it in full (or buy it, even) you can check it out here: http://milieu.bandcamp.com/album/eufloria And here: http://milieu.bandcamp.com/album/euflorian-additions And even here: http://milieu.bandcamp.com/album/we-live-in-the-trees There's been some amazing stuff mentioned in this thread, however no one has yet posted these pieces: [youtubehd]MWfOufGsah0[/youtubehd] [youtubehd]MJkPo6gBsUs[/youtubehd] Also, big props to the poster to mention Soule's soundtrack set - I did NOT know about that fourth disc, but HOLY CRAP. Getting it now.
  7. Yep, gonna be grabbing this faster than you can say "I don't have to spend a fuckton of cash trying to obtain those 12"s on CR anymore!"

  9. Hah! I just posted a handful of new releases to close out the year last night, but I haven't formally announced any of it yet. You beat me to it! Awesome that you're enjoying it already though. It is all alt. versions/outtakes/weirdness from the H Is For Hologram sessions. Wow, thank you! That is pretty damn high praise! Thanks man!
  10. Thank you sir. No worries about the Nitrous Oxide Loops - I actually was hoping that people wouldn't find them so fast (the 3" was hidden inside the packaging itself for the tapes) but since they have I decided to make the release available on Bandcamp digitally for everyone else: http://coppicehalifa...ous-oxide-loops Nice one, thank you and duly downloaded. Probably completely wasted on me as I'd never 'use' the loops for anything, but I enjoy them all the same. Kind of a nice little postscript to the actual album. Just wondering if I can burn them onto a 3" CDr and squeeze it safely into the gatefold somewhere... And I'm down for one of those forthcoming cassettes. Yeah I agree, it is a nice little P.S. on the album, although I personally love putting select loops on and letting them repeat for an hour or so while I tidy up the studio or something. Check your PMs!
  11. Thanks! I would have totally done more 2x cassettes, but alas, the special cases I used were only available in a VERY limited amount. Plus, most folks still wanted this material on some sort of digital/accessible format, so the double-disc makes sense in that respect too. I am actually acquiring another shipment of the double-cassette cases, but since they're not going to be here for a little while, I'm going to use them for another release. Coincidentally that release is very much the second-half of Pawleys Island - Inland By Night - completely beatless ambient versions of several tracks from it, reworked and resequenced into a totally different record. It isn't another double-album, but the double-cassette version will be the only format to feature an exclusive second tape called "Postscript". This will all probably come together by Spring 2012.
  12. Thank you sir. No worries about the Nitrous Oxide Loops - I actually was hoping that people wouldn't find them so fast (the 3" was hidden inside the packaging itself for the tapes) but since they have I decided to make the release available on Bandcamp digitally for everyone else: http://coppicehalifa...ous-oxide-loops Thanks Robbie! That says a lot considering it's a double album!
  13. Shockingly 19 euros plus 10 euros to ship from Germany to the US. The guy selling it was grading it way too conservatively so he thought it was better to let it go for less than to have sold it for more and have to deal with some whiny collector complaining about some sleeve wear. That said, it's in fantastic shape too.
  14. Finally got this - which means, aside from the debut EP Modern, I have all the GAS vinyl now. Truly an accomplishment for my record collection.
  15. It'll be out just as soon as I get all of them assembled! Sorry, that wasn't to be as rude as it might have read. I'll rephrase the last bit to 'eagerly anticipated'. I appreciate your efforts, and I'm happy to wait until it's ready. No no, I didn't think it sounded rude - just enthusiastic! Trust me man I know how it goes waiting for music to arrive! I only said what I said because I'm putting in a lot of effort and care to assembling these. Not that I don't usually with all my records, but this one is that little bit more special, if you know what I mean.
  16. Bonus points to you sir for knowing your Carolinian mythologies! It'll be out just as soon as I get all of them assembled! from what I've heard I would agree with this. the tracks are mastered. when you listen, you know that a lot of effort went into these tracks. I'm waiting for my CDs, just like Carestik (and until I receive them, I just stream the album like crazy). will there be a digital download for those who bought the CD format ?? Thanks man. I'm glad the effort shows through. No digital download packages with the CDs, unfortunately. I'm not that fancy with my shop design at this point. Hopefully you don't burn yourself out on the streamable version before the CD version arrives!
  17. Thanks guys! And yeah, Arbee is correct - shipping on the new website is linked directly to USPS rates, so no matter where you are in the world, you'll only pay what it costs to post the weight of your order. Glad everyone is digging the new release - I spent 3 years working on this one and it's basically what I'd consider to be the very best Coppice Halifax album to date.
  18. Thanks Arbee! Though just to be clear - this is definitely not the LAST Coppice Halifax album!

  20. His work as Studio 1 is probably some of my favorite minimal techno of all time, by anyone. Granted much different than GAS but that's how Voigt is...a lot of his monikers are dictated out of differences in the music's aim, and he's largely an experimentalist. [youtubehd]f_DOnA56x_s[/youtubehd] Beyond that stuff his M:I:5 project is pretty interesting too: [youtubehd]WPfSBv2z-OI[/youtubehd] And of course you could always go back to any Mike Ink for accccccid...
  21. Yeah! One for the road! Frank Booth is above second-hand piracy - he just steals the shit. And yes, Roy had one hell of a set of pipes!
  22. As great as the Greatest Hits LP is, it's a shame this cut is absent: [youtubehd]gmsrO8xpe-w[/youtubehd]
