  1. I'm holding out for a collected edition of this, but it looks and sounds awesome. Currently reading Swamp Thing and Promethea in trade right now -- great stuff.
  2. There is a definitely a middle aged, white hip-hop nerd out there who will pay any price asked.
  3. Kill everyone and come up with a new group in a new setting. Shit is tedious, dawg.
  4. I like the album version more than most seem to, but this is still pretty good. IMHO TCBY
  5. I've been thinking about checking it out, since I like The Unwritten. Is it still good?
  6. Copied from the Website, because lazy: Sprawling across an epic landscape of deserts, harems, and modern industrial clutter, HABIBI tells the tale of Dodola and Zam, refugee child slaves bound to each other by chance, by circumstance, and by the love that grows between them. At once contemporary and timeless, HABIBI gives us a love story of astounding resonance: a parable about our relationship to the natural world, the cultural divide between the first and third worlds, the common heritage of Christianity and Islam, and, most potently, the magic of storytelling.
  7. i've read it a while ago, one of the best comics i've read in 2011. which one do you prefer? blankets or Habibi? this is the first book of his I've read. Is his earlier work supposed to be this good?
  8. I'm about two-thirds through Craig Thompson's Habibi. It's fuckinglush: Also just started reading Lucifer. Mike Carey is the best writer in mainstream comics.
  9. What the fuck you fucking fuck. I honestly think the comic might be even worse at this point.
  10. I'm ~650 pages into The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton. It's crack.
  11. Carl's formula meltdown is the worst thing I've ever seen on TV. I'd love to see him and Rick dead soon.
  12. A handful of decent, suspenseful scenes bookended by utter shit. This ep pretty much sums up the entire series.
  13. I thought True Detective was pretty good too. I normally avoid gritty detective shit like Low Winter Sun and The Killing, but I think TD has potential. The first few episodes of Helix are decent if you're hurting for a horror show that isn't The Walking Dead. Sent from my RM-917_nam_usa_100 using Tapatalk
  14. I've been mainlining Louie recently. Awesome show. Sent from my RM-917_nam_usa_100 using Tapatalk
  15. Bullhead - 8/10 A Separation - 9/10 Clockers - Spike Lee/10 Europa Report - 7/10 The Comedy - 6/10 Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  16. Read Jeff Lemire's Underwater Welder and mostly enjoyed it. All of his work is starting to feel a bit samey to me, though. Also about halfway through Paul Pope's Battling Boy. Where was this when I was 13?
  17. Protest music for Motorola commercials. The world aint ready.
  18. Just picked up the first trades of Sex and Nowhere Men, and the first two hardcovers of Mind MGMT. Comics is brilliant sometimes.
  19. Fucking menacing tutor, you are. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
