A mate of mine, he's a pilot, he says he never looks bored of the view from the cockpit & that flying over Eastern Russia was the best : its like hours of hours of the same forest landscape over & over & over & over... Back to the topic, since its release, i have not changed my mind on Elseq1-5 : BRILLANT !!

    Cheetah EP

Well i loved the track back from the soundcloud upload, its one of my favorite of his recent "acid/analordish" tunes but i think "Pretend analogue extmix 2b" is better. Perhaps AFX was better 20 years ago (let say circa 1992/1996) but he's still really good now (way way better than Prince was during the 2000s or Bob Dylan during the 1980s if you know what i mean).

So basically, the biggest music media around is publishing a good coverage of a truly experimental record (it's not xenakis but come on, it's not an easy record either, even by AE standards) & you're complaining ? Also, it's hard to say what is 'jams' & what is "composed" : the AE_LIVE recordings seems composed while they're obvisouly errr..live jams.

Dunno about Synthopia but if its a retro synth site, the comments makes sense.

bizarre comparision 1 colundi release = 28 dollars all 5 elseq releases / 4 hours = 33 dollars thats 1 colundi album of 16. the ae asking price is nothing worth worrying over / its a four hour long new autechre album !!! Well you must be right, i thought the price was less expensive. Anyway, i feel like i'm a merchant in God's temple : talking about money in the context of a miraculous piece of art ! AEMEN...

Not talking about the music (seriously i thinks the tracks are the most important event since man walked on the moon : i'm totally loving those tunes) but the price is really expensive for a digital release (compared with bancamp usual prices : see Colundi or KTL archives).
  9. Prince and electronic music is a strange story. I remember an interview (mid or late 90s) and a journalist asked him about minimal & repetive electronic music (like Detroit techno) & if he would be interested in making his own minimal techno stuff with vocals, iirc Prince answered "You want me to do Sign o' the times AGAIN?".
  10. i first heard about Uptown via the remix released on Arcola, i loved this tune & then listen to the original. Genius. i found out this weekend that i was very good at karoke with When doves cry ah ah.
  11. Really sad.... Prince in the 1980s was trully at the top of the game. Rasberry berret is one of my favorite tune ever.
  12. ah ah (my nightmares looks like lovecraft short stories)
  13. i once dreamed about an ovuca cd in a record shop (while i was looking for that cd, in real life)

    AE_LIVE

i dunno, listening to any of those AE_LIVE sets will give me orgasm til 2017 & beyond. Good article, i truly love the Fennesz, Pan Sonic & W.Voigt live albums mentionned there.
  15. the latest bradley one uploaded is from the second ep, is that right ? i have that record, not the first ep. aphex is really one of the musician i got all mixed up, with all those rare stuff, i mean, even the "physical" releases. With the soundcloud madness there are so many stuff that sometimes i have acid/electro melodies in my head from what i heard from Aphex recently, that it takes me hours to figure out which tunes is it. I wish Warp will make a boxset, or some archive releases with some rare selected tunes.
  16. That's the whole philosophy behind conspi heads : all oppinions are equals (fasle or true doesnt matter at all), nobel prize winners or direct witnesses counts as much as random youtube vids, and as long as you didnt read that 666 pages pdf about the 9/11, you know nothing about the truth being hidden. That's the definition of obscurantism. Back to the music, yeah the second Bradley EP was truly great.
  17. Stephen g is right, Aphex is not old enough to spend his life rereleasing records with bonus tracks. Selected Ambient Work II is a masterpiece but i dont need it in a huge box with mono version on 180g, poster, sticker etc.
  18. That youtube thing is brillant, so many lesser known or forgotten tunes revealed, like After Life, that Joey Beltram tune under the Code 6 alias that i have never heard of.
  19. Par IS www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1VPnk210P0 www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQuceU3x2Ww www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0GrcQ9kXbI Good luck for him when promoting forthcoming shows/records with Warpfrance parisian team. I should have never commented those stuff anyway, trying to communicated with someone proud of reading nothing & watching conspis vids from youtube is a waste of time/energy. Anyway, sorry for adding this to the SC thread.. feel free to move all this to a dedicated thread.
  20. Imgaine say some people from Coventry U.K or Texas shot loads of people in China, would you also agree it was ok for China to bomb Birmingham or Texas? Totally. As Isis declared war against France, bombing isis HQs & their training camps makes perfect sense. That's war is about sadly. i never thought someone who had been smoking pot for 25 years & who read nothing but sequencers manuals would write anything smart but that's fucking stupid... That said, i wound not listen to acid tracks made by geopolitics specialists. Each to his own.
  21. Is this a problem ? i'm old fashioned,so i'll wait for the cd but i dont think the leak wont change much as nowadays most people listens to music via spotify/youtube/google & do not really pay for it.
