  1. Fartificial Intelligence? Pfff, more like Pharmaceutical Negligence! You can't afford your pills anymore? You just scared cause a robot's about to take your desk job over punk. Stress is the real mind killer, the real facepalm moment, that's coming for us all....
  2. New Zealand is a very authoritarian and progressively minded country, and I'm stuck.... Increasingly hating it.... This song has become my anthem at the moment. I have written altered lyrics to reflect that, so if you read those first, and then listen to the song, then thanks: Alternate lyrics: It is the night, my body's weak I'm on the run, my country's asleep But I gotta ride, ride like the wind So I can be free again I have got such a long way to go But if I have to take it to the boarder of Mexico Then I'll ride it, like the wind Ride like the wind I was born a son Of a selfish man We don't communicate Rather have guns in our hands I will not bend I hate fighting I rather ride like the wind I have got such a long way to go But if I have to take it to the boarder of Mexico Then I'll ride it, like the wind Ride like the wind Ok fine then! They tried, to make me obey their plan But I wasn't around, when their church bells rang They want me caged, and do what I was told But I rather ride like the wind Before I really get old It is the night, my body's weak I'm on the run, my country's asleep But I gotta ride, ride like the wind So I can be free again I have got such a long way to go But if I have to take it to the boarder of Mexico Then I'll ride it, like the wind Ride like the wind
  3. Five Eyes On Me! Five Eyez On Me! All the time! They tracking my rhymes, like its a crime! That was the best song i wrote, back in '94! But Five Eyez On Me...... Five Eyez on me..... Five Eyez on me............. All the time!! Tracking my rhymes, like its a crime But how the hell did my phone know that?! That was in the past, remember that! They are snitchin', they trying to cancel me! If you go after my family, now you are my enemy! I used to take my phone, everywhere I would go, Now I leave the stupid thing at home, all alone! It's distractin', Five Eyes On Me, you pigeons... Always trackin' my decisions.... I don't do social media!! Etc etc. Anyway, its more to do with what we are writing songs about now? It baffles me abit that we have so many topics out there now that we as songwriters should be tackling. That affect us more and more, yet all these mainstream artists keep farting about the same old topics that don't really matter to us at all anymore. I don't care that your boyfriend dumped you or whatever, your love life is not my life. People are literally thinking and pushing about WW3, A.I taking over our jobs and livelihood, our parent's generation going "MEH whatever, I'll be dead so what good luck" while leaving us to dealing with this crap. There are so many other more important things we should be creating music about. So from there, if other human beings have had enough with dealing with other human beings who think like this and instead want to make "the next big hit"..... then what do you expect? We will turn to something else to help us express ourselves properly. From there though, again, for now as long as you are honest about it if you use it, I don't see the problem with it. A.I is only a tool, for now, for now we should only treat it as such:
  4. I only use social media to post creative stuff and occasionally talk to people on FB Messenger when needed. I'm apart of the Messenger generation, not quite the Social Media generation. This is why I mostly prefer messageboards like this one to communicate, against posting everything to social media, whirling my thumbs all day waiting for you all to like the fact I took a selfie or whatever. If I post something, if you liked it, then cool, if you don't then whatever right? It seems the Social Media generation wants us to keep re-assuring them that their life is awesome. I think the Messenger generation was more aligned with storytelling. Get us a reason to "like" your stuff then. Tho I won't lie, I did post me cooking pizzas and that for abit, but eventually, it didn't fulfill me, I guess if landlords accepted "likes" instead of money to pay rent, then it would make more sense.
  5. I make pizzas occasionally, it was on the weber, but it came out alright: https://www.instagram.com/p/ChZABYIJq2S/
  6. Awesome, I got a couple more 2pac/Biggie ideas on the go at the moment, hope to post them soon. But then I'd like to play around with other voices for other tracks. There is more than one A.I voice generators out there, so I'm trying and picking and choosing, like someone in a vinyl store picking out things that would be great for samples.... man, it takes time!
  7. Howdy. I'm also a DJ who goes by the name Loose Link. If you're interested, my links are here: https://www.mixcloud.com/craig-gillman/ https://www.instagram.com/looselink/ I'm currently working on my next album, the first one, in about 9 years so far. Taken me a while. On the side though, I think we are all familiar with A.I by now. Destroying jobs and that. I'm currently also making a set of tracks that use A.I. I personally find it fascinating, and wanted to play around with it. Because its really gonna be a thing soon, if its not already. Anyway, these first few will be Hip Hop tracks at first, but I would like to move to other genres. This maybe on-going, so let's see. I would like to say one thing, I think we need to make a separation between "A.I Generated", and "A.I Assisted". I consider these tracks I'm doing, "A.I Assisted". "A.I Generated" is where, you just type a line of text, then the A.I generates it, then you just post it. 'Kay?... But "A.I Assisted", is where you do the same thing, but then you edit it yourself, you notice the A.I voice slurs a word or two, then you go a re-record then fix it, then you record a few versions, so you feel it works. A.I Assisted requires more of a human touch than something that's just "A.I Generated". To be clear, this is all for fun, yep A.I is also a thing though. I've witnessed from Print to Digital, or from 2D to 3D animation. If people didn't adapt, they get far behind. Now its going to be from Digital to A.I. If you didn't adapt to that, you may be far behind. I think now's a great time to at least play around with it. So that's what I'm doing here. One thing I will say that inspired me to try this, is I used to write poems/rhymes back in primary/high school. I got hundreds of those. But some of those I wanted to imagine another singer singing them. Well, now with A.I, if I type it out right, we get that. So I am going ahead and doing, at least an album's worth (40-70 minutes) of these. Though it could be on-going, we will see. Hope you enjoy, be interesting to hear what your views on A.I are. I'll post more when it's ready.
  8. Biggie Smalls is a playa, a video game collector (my further playing around with A.I):
  9. Now I'm starting to mess around with A.I!... oh boy... well I had to, because they after my homie 2pac.... nah man, they trying to cancel him. He wrote a song back in '94, one of his best, but now that's offending and triggering everybody.... damn man... leave the homie alone! For those who don't know what "Five Eyes" is, the biggest surveillance network currently, that tracks everything you do online, data to ads, or, whoever.....: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five_Eyeshttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five_Eyes
  10. In my personal opinion, God is basically an interpretation. Though not a bad one, for us humans anyway. I see God as a guide, when needed. Just saying and just going from what you just typed. If you really wanted to punch God in the face, all you are basically doing is basically punching the air though, since, apparently, God is everything and everywhere, yeah? So, if I was going for a walk, through a park or whatever, and I went ahead and did that, walk all over there, then during my travels, and I make it to a park, in the middle of it I see you, punching the air, cursing God and saying whatever else, what should I do?
  11. To me this is still his best track, though its generous of him to share so much so far of his archives. I do wonder how many tracks they all do in a day for example, there seems to be so many!:
  12. Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.... instead of building Half-Life 3 all this time.... Valve were busy building.... this, 'kay?:
  13. Underworld seems like such a prolific band to me, so at least they tried to get most of it out once then. I do have a thing for prolific bands/musicians, but not because all their songs are good. There were some real good ones on Drift series 1 tho (Boarder Country, S T A R etc), maybe it was that we expect each individual thing to sell as much or listened to as much? I'm currently working on my third album, not to plug it again, but I am literally trying to figure it out, do I go ahead and put together a big double or triple album, or do I soldier on and complete the, I'd say five different projects I was working on over the last 9 years? Personally I'd rather a big package, probably rather go that way. In terms of Underworld, my most memorable time with them was the mid-90's. I remember the Barbara tour was abit "one song after another", if they trying to go back to 1996 by making new tracks that could move into another, maybe we get some more improv as well again, I'm all up for that. Dude......... with that mindset and setlist.... imagine Underworld at the Sphere....... that would be amazing! Bring in that Tomato art and whatever!:
  14. They could easily compile all the early techno era Underworld and Lemon Interrupt material into an album if they wanted. You know what would be interesting though for them now: if they re-created both Change The Weather and Underneath The Radar, the two albums before Dubnobass, upgrade them and make them more techno, invite collaborators like Kettama or those on Barking etc. That would be interesting to listen to. It honestly blew me away when I realized DubnoBass was actually the third album. These first two albums seem widely neglected. Some of it actually sounds catchy. Underneath The Radar 2024.... why not?:
  15. Did they announce Drift 1 before dropping tracks once a month or whatever last time? Or more midway through the year? Can't remember, but this seems like we are experiencing the start of Drift 2 with these single drops. But if their next album instead is more traditional, then that's interesting. All these bands saying and doing a single a month or whatever, Underworld and Gorillaz I thinking most of, guess it didn't work out for them? FSOL seem fine so far with their calendars I guess. Anyway, so the other new tracks atm, will they release these next?: Gene Pool Strawberry Hotel Techno Shinkansen And also Dirty Club Guitar, played once on the same tour, tho that could be a remix of Dirty? Had another listen to Fen Violet, and yeah it's alright. But yeah what I've heard so far sound like segues and pieces to add to their live setlist...... But tho, not complaining.

To be abit more positive, I do see some use for A.I at the moment. Wish it was more of a thing over a decade ago for me.............. I would of saved more time in certain areas. I'll leave it to a future podcast to get more into that I guess, I have been playing around with it though: https://www.instagram.com/p/C2EOKc8xnG9/
