  1. So a bit unrelated but a gem nonetheless, for the people who missed it - Very old tapes made by Aphex for Manuel Sepulveda: edit: notice the two tracks mentioning 'AFX + TOM' - meaning Tom Middleton.
  2. So three more Ventolin remixes in one month (vtnm and vtnm2 + Luke Vibert's original unreleased Ventolin remix)
  3. Just a heads up: when organizing these the 'Window Peeper' track from the Noyzelab interview tracks could be included too. Since it was tagged as being from the Llannerlog studio and made in 1988, it fits right with the other tracks. It was also uploaded with a specific # (5 Window Peeper). Weren't there more Noyzelab interview tracks that could be included?
  4. It's fake, sorry. If it is fake it is brilliantly done and brilliant music too. Don't understand why someone would just post a fake album, take it down, then post another. To get attention and to see if anyone could be convinced of their music sounding remotely like Aphex. It works, apparently. This is happening for years and years on P2P channels and such. The first attempt was taken down, as this will too soon enough.
  5. Please, if you have any link to a (most likely) fake bandcamp or soundcloud account, post it in this thread: http://forum.watmm.com/topic/86497-possible-alt-rdj-soundclouds-and-associated-debunkery/
  6. + someone on the watmm fb page who zipped all the tracks and uploaded them as if he was some AFX martyr doing all the hard work by himself: Ladies and Gentleman, it is done. you can now download the Ultimate version of Aphex Twin - user48736353001 grin-emoticon As soon as new tracks arrive, i will upload Update packages. For now enjoy 111 never before heard tunes from Richard David James. Also you get the Syrobonkers! Interview Trax as an Bonus thanks to -redacted-. Thanks for sticking with me and encouraging me to release this for you. THANK YOU
  7. It was marked as an official album first right after the tracks were uploaded, then it was moved to misc., now they separated every type of track in multiple categories? Sometimes Discogs...
  8. IS NOT APHEX (just so everyone notices) But really nice tunes nonetheless. It was already posted here 'a couple' pages back, my guess then is that it is a mate of Richard. That 8va got released on some compilation in 2004 too btw, so this is no newbie.
  9. Just to clarify again: the chances are very slim to none that there will be another SC or bandcamp account made by Richard for this. Try to be more critical when you do approach these, of course Richard would never even bother with a Bandcamp account just for five average tracks with a banner full of horrible cliché known photos of himself and his older albums, etc. The coming months will be full of people pointing towards hundreds of fake accounts by people who now have a very easy way to get attention to their music. Nothing new people, this was already happening in the Audiogalaxy / Kazaa days, people like to try and convince people they could sound like Aphex.
  10. The DAT with 5 Sline on it, posted by D'Arcangelo :)
  11. they're fucking pissedHa. This. Interview with Steve beckett yesterday was less than complimentary about RDJ and his lack of promotional interview duties. Was well. Given all this, quite funny Seemd like it was more about the fact that he doesn't HAVE to do a lot of promotion, everybody is already around him like bees with just the tiniest promotion. Where? http://www.pias.com/blog/steve-beckett-interview
  12. Can't get used to waking up to never before heard old Aphex tunes. Just the best thing really :) 5 sline is exactly what I was hoping for, that dark industrial era. Last few tracks are all absolutely stellar! trying to figure that out myself. It sounds really familiar but I can't put my finger on it. Weird that both aphex offical + richard upload account are both following. Somadril is following the official Aphex account and the user48736353001 account, NOT the other way around. Nah, it is the other way around: Definitely not Aphex when I hear it, and the person already released something in 2004 I see: http://www.discogs.com/Various-Another-Kind-of-Space/release/4405777 No idea about who it could be, probably a mate.
  13. A normal working day keeps the Aphex tracks away... Finally back up to date downloading them all, 45 new tracks since my last download yesterday evening. Just completely insane. Now sitting back and listen to them all. The existence of AB6 test pressings, a third We Have Arrived mix (the PCP one), more Universal Indicator style tracks (Moodular Acid, the other being an edit of UI Green track 6 I think)... I can hardly handle this. Completely overwhelmed here.
  14. Newsflash: Rephlex has stopped trading since late 2013 unfortunately. Which is one of the reasons why this is released in this way :) he announced it in recent interviews that he would do it like this, because organizing was too much trouble indeed (I posted the quote a couple of times in this thread).
  15. Any idea which release? http://www.discogs.com/label/2214-Applied-Rhythmic-Technology-ART http://www.discogs.com/Various-The-Philosophy-Of-Sound-And-Machine/release/51236 Q-Chastic - 002
  16. lol Apparently I am a watmm super sleuth according to Pitchfork :) And various WATMM super-sleuths have turned up plenty of evidence supporting James's authorship, like the appearance of the track titled "8 Utopia" in Aphex Twin's 2010 performance in Barcelona (some seven minutes into this video). The lesson, maybe, is to trust no one, listen to your gut, and rely on the wisdom of the crowd. The WATMM sleuths remind me a lot of the online community in William Gibson's novel Pattern Recognition. In the book, a mysterious online phenomenon known as "The Footage" sends users on a networked quest to discover the origin and meaning of the video clips. I'd expound on that theory, but I see that user48736353001 has begun uploading new clips. There'll be time to unravel the mystery later. Nice article though!
  17. Agreed, a bit harsh but I can see zazens point. Jaspmf is mostly trying to contribute though, it's hard to keep up what has been posted and what not in this thread, especially as a brand new user. Basically, Richard gave hundreds of people a very easy platform to post their own stuff and get instant attention, as long as they act a bit obscure. My guess is that Richard won't post on any other SoundCloud account, so my pro-tip is to be extra cautious before posting them here.
  18. It isn't. And it has been posted numerous times before too :)
  19. I'll wouldn't be suprsied if he'll release those two unreleased ICBYD-period Peel Session tracks too... *fingers crossed*
  20. Where did you know it from originally? It sounded familiar, but I can't place it!
