  1. This is fucking great news! Perfect choice of tracks for a 12" like that imo. Could it be that the Xmas track will be shorter then the Syro one? Considering the A-Side will be 6 minutes long and the B-side would hold two tracks?
  2. These are his self made musical scales. When he did the Mental Union albums, it was all constructed these scales instead of the common Western 12TET (tone equal temperament) scale. For Colundi he's also doing this: "a series of mathematically-related and non-related and specifically resonant microtones that, in experiments, appear to conjure magical physical & psychological phenomena, synchronicity, unity." Or, as Grant once ranted on facebook: ditch the whole chromatic scale. explore the colundi sequence, where each note is based on several specific biological/physical/chemical/mental/emotional resonances. e.g. 90-111Hz - Beta Endorphin range. 126.22Hz - 32nd octave of Earth year, The Frequency Of The Sun, Color=Green, Tempo=118.3 BPM, centering of magic, Hara(chakra). there are 128 specific frequencies in the scale. 3. Awesome! This'll be a no-brainer-buy again. I was waiting for Croissant With Stravinsky to be released, not really sure where I heard it before though... I think he played some of these at that improvised movie score gig I saw a few months ago. lol at #coffeeshop chillout background music
  4. That's what it says in the gear list on the cover, anyway. There was a soundcloud clip in syrobonkus review of that HAT part in xmas_eve. Should be floating around somewhere with the rest of the tracks from the interview. The first time I heard the said part in Xmas_Eve I too thought that it might have some HAT magic. One of the few times I've actually been right about something. It's a sweet bit in an awesome track! yeah, this one http://www.mediafire.com/listen/knt7l8r5xjjsd7m/12+-+metz+pa+hat+break.mp3 seems to have been recorded from off a speaker or something? doesn't sound very good He explained that bit in the interview, how he played his breaks when soundchecking before a gig to hear how it would sound on a massive PA system, then record that.
  5. http://youtu.be/_bZkZr4GcGg http://www.colundi.net Also, earlier in this thread I posted the LinkedIn page of this strange Colundi organisation :) Seems to be a big project in the works anyway, might have something to do with what Joyrex has been hinting at?
  6. You mean, besides the wire recording (#8)? Or do you mean a complete new sequence next to the Colundi sequence?
  7. there are more, inc. versions of the tracks that were released on saw1, those will come out on a re-release one day hopefully, so saving those for that. Almost a year later but, you might have a chance in obtaining it :) funny how after that Ptolemy edit (I don't hear that much difference compared to the orig. though) you can hear a few other (previously) unreleased tracks like Window Peeper too...
  8. I just remembered that when Syro came out, Renaat from R&S did an interview on Belgian radio about being contacted by Richard again for plans that he couldn't speak about in that interview. This was also just after Richard said to Oor Magazine that he would probably release heaps of old unreleased tunes anonymously on the internet. Now that he has done that he comes with a playlist and plans to put out a 1.5 version of SAW, that was released on R&S...
  9. Looks like something he compiled recently imo. Other 'collections' are AB6, apparently a planned second Polygon Window album that never made it, the Phlegm EP on R&S (see previous page), Mr. Men, Q-Chastic EP, and rumours about something concerning the alias the Rave Colonel... Am I missing something?
  10. Yeah, and only one mention of it after all those years! On the other hand though, Rephlex were also very good at this :) Rephlex Discography - 1991/92 ----------------------------- NCC 1701 IG-88/Voafose and Ohm Double A side 4 track 12" CAT 002 Q:Chastic 4 track double 7" CAT 003 Strong Island Players 1 sided promo CAT 004 Caustic Window 5 track EP CAT 005 Caustic Window 4 track white vinyl EP TR 606 The Cyberchildren 3 track (club use only) CAT 007 The Kosmik Kommando 4 track clear vinyl 12" CAT 008 Analogue Bubblebath 3 8 track EP art 2cd Various Compilation CD CAT 010 The Kosmik Kommando 6 track sampler Future releases - 1993 ---------------------- CAT 011 Green Calx 2 track picture disk RLP 101 Rephlex Compilation album CAT 013 Space Avenger Cassette
  11. Interesting, I can remember reading about that EP and thinking it was just wrong info: http://www.encyclopedia.com/topic/Aphex_Twin.aspx I'd love to hear the rest of this EP!
  12. I'm guessing around 1992/3 or so, but it's a tough one :)
  13. D'oh, it was the first thing I thought of when I read that 'fork rave' title, mainly because that Think Tank track was played in his Pukkelpop set with Luke and was one of my fave tracks from it, but I never made the connection. Cool :)
  14. It was deemed lost after weeks of waiting and I received a perfectly good replacement copy in the meantime, so now I have two. Not sure what to do with it yet... Did anyone on here miss out on the minidisc? @aza - I'll trim the postmans face next I see him
  15. Well, this is a nice suprise. In the front of my house there is a small hedge where I park my bike into occasionally. Last night I did the same, guess what drops on the ground after I park it there? Stamped 04/12/2014, so it has been there for almost three months. I have absolutely no idea how it got there...
  16. ^Same here, completely looked over that High Hats track, and it's one of the best even! These are the tracks that affected me the most, instantly: Sams Car Hilo Make A Baby 5 Sline / 5 jap flute energy rave SomewhereOTTGTBAG Early Morning Clissold Quad Rave TEAC Chink 101 luke vibert spiral staircase [future music competition] [afx remix] Notting Hill Bus Not counting the already known tracks and I still have trouble excluding tracks like dance and play, 5, brk2, Martins Car, 22 Pearls, lush ambulance, Lannerlog, Bimbongo, P.E., Bob Morgan, bellbrk, lannerlush, fork rave, bicycle wheel, floating, every [slo] or SAWII ambient tune, afx theme, barbie1, 8 Utopia, fnkmg, 28 Organ, the cottage tracks, fuck man, this list is just endless... Btw, is it me or does Lannerlush sound like a jam between Luke and afx?
  17. 175 inc FmsubBass 176 inc unfaded '35 SAW II Un Road Shimmer'. Hmmm. I tohught only 2 tracks were deleted from the Soundcloud. Am I wrong? Well, "#176" doesn't really count as it was reuploaded with only one second missing (a proper fade out added).
  18. Please try to see if this isn't posted already (using the search button). He put that message up halfway through and uploaded a couple of tracks hours after posting it, so don't worry.
  19. Cheers for translating psn, interesting. Finally I can place the motivation behind the 'innovation in the dynamics of acid' slogan on their old shirts / on that mix CD. I wonder what he meant with a series of films too?
  20. Wow, nice find. I was at that gig and I was convinced he played a couple of unreleased tracks that night (along with a lot of released afx tracks, more than usual), with one that sounded like a MFM track, this must be that one. Never could've guessed it though!
  21. Better Call Saul - top notch Walking Dead - /Walking Dead Lilyhammer - OK, but pretty flawed and cheapish here and there
