Yeah seriously. Thought it might be a Chrome compatibility issue at first but if I open the video in a new tab it runs really smoothly. Seems to be an issue with the way the forum is handling them? It's rendering threads almost unreadable for me and my internet connection is pretty decent Same here, together with the Funny Pictures thread and other non-watmm sites. I don't see the point, why not just use a video instead of a silent gif? Must be a tumblr thing *rambles like an old man*

Wasn't really worried tbh, I know I've damaged my ears at gigs to a certain degree, but as long as I can still hear the annoying high pitch in front of the supermarket to scare local youth away I'm ok :) Otherwise there is still this great Dutch invention to enjoy every crackle in the ol' Aphex tapes.

yeah it's bloody lovely, not sure I'm having quite the same religious experience you are, but easily one of my favourite tracks from the dump. No idea how I missed it as one of his remixes before. Blame Warp for not adding that track to 26 Mixes for Cash, although they probably had a reason for it (licensing issues?). When 26MFC was released I bought it and burnt my own copy on CDr (or MP3 CD, dunno) including the Japan track as one of the first tracks. Still one of my alltime fave Aphex tracks! Also, I don't hear the high pitched noise on Floating at all, should I be worried :)? Only hear some tape hiss very softly.

+1 for that Rushup drum rendition and the Coma Lilies, always liked that one. Never liked any of the guitar covers, it just strips it down to just the melody played on a really standard instrument. Loses all its magic for me. Dutch ensemble Luna Park is pretty solid too. I remember when this was on TV for the first time, I just happened to flick the channel and saw people playing Drukqs tracks :) too bad about the electric guitar in the second one though

That's by Squarepusher, not Aphex. Tom should upload it, yes! I thought that was never totally confirmed, but anyway Tom jenkinson should release it then, hopefully aphex inspires other artist to do this by now! A lot of these soundcloud trax are better than a lot of aphex his mid 90s stuff. Just really like the raw and not overproduced quality of it. Make what you will out of this: It is Squarepusher. He made a bunch of this in that year and grant pressed them onto Vinyl much to his annoyance. very solid selection of acid tracks not done with 303 either. FINALLY some credible source on it. Thanks a lot for clearing that up. Two of those tracks were played by Cylob in a (soundboard recorded) set ages ago, lets hope the entire thing will surface one day :)

Sekonda is the absolute highlight from this batch. Total Steve Reich + AB5 feels... Couldn't ask for anything more then tracks like these. Just blown away. That's by Squarepusher, not Aphex. Tom should upload it, yes!

Anyone could just write this (oh he wrote 'humans' on SC, might as well do it now) First of all, Richard was done with Rephlex for a number of years now and was happy it was done (end of era argument). Second of all, they were just finished with giving every Rephlex artist the rights to their tunes back (hence all the sounclouds, which takes me to...) Thirdly, Cylob has just released a new album last month on his own SC together with all his Rephlex stuff on it too. AB6 has been already given for 90% and SAW3 is just a fabled made-up fan dream. Also, the CCAI is not a contract breaker.

Hoping that a Vibert / Aphex collab will materialize someday, my #1 dream collab basically. Hearing Aphex talking about wanting a collab with Mueller makes me moist too. where is this from? 0_0 track is dope From Planet Mu's website back in the mid-90's I think. Therefore the 64kpbs quality, would love to hear this in better quality too! A shame they never included this one :)
