I generally just don't bother with this sort of stuff - doesn't detract really at all. I would have though a more likely solution was whether or not there was a CPU in there.

From the wiki on the film : Fumi: so would you say it's safe to watch the film and not expect spoilers for the show? Film looks like it would be a good watch.

Either way, you're nowhere near finding out those answers. This series will most likely run for five or six years. Does that particular story line seem like it has that much depth to it? I don't think so - at least not at the pace they've been advancing it. I hope I'm proven wrong and it becomes something substantial - I haven't seen the original film, so don't know if it was covered in there.

Really enjoyed both episodes. A really interesting concept from Crichton, should be able to really get into how technology affects human personality growth and exploration. I too, am a little confused by the end game of the Man in Black (Ed Harris). What could be at the center of the maze? The Control center? Does he expect to be able to walk in and take it by force? Will he have become so delusional with power over the machines that he thinks himself invulnerable? I mean the little girl pretty much straight up told him not to go there. Also wonder if this is where William Gibson got the idea for his meat puppets in the Neuromancer universe.

Cheers, will do. Liked some of Ital Tek's previous stuff for sure. Severant is fucking excellent so far.

Sorry, I meant I would expect the topics to be of more substance, but not necessarily the depth in which the candidates cover them.

Totally overlooked this guy - bought Severant and Kuedo just now. Cheers WATMM you've done it again!

While Russia and terrorism are valid topics of debate, there is no way they should dominate like they do. So pretty much like I thought without watching the debates - not many topics of substance. It would be interesting to compare the topics of previous presidential campaigns (not that there would necessarily be more substance to the level of debate - but I would suspect the topics at least would be more on policy issues and less on bullshit) with this one. I wonder how much of this is because of Trump running his campaign basically like a reality TV show.

That guy would fit right in in Saudi Arabia.

Finally finished season 2 of Narcos. Really good - acting is good all round, and story holds together well. One thing bugs me - some of the musical cues are so fucking obvious. Anyways, will be interested to see how the hunt for Cali cartel turns out - I really know little about the history of that.

A woman pastor? Inconceivable.

So, did they actually discuss any policies during the debate, or was it just 60 minutes of mudslinging?

Ice cream! We used to dream of such luxury. We'd have been happy just licking the used cream buckets behind the barn.

Pfft 5 foot high. When I were little, snow drifts were near 10 foot high and cars were frozen solid. Still, father sent us to school every day and would whip us if we complained.

Is this your winter truck or summer truck? lol this will be my only truck. We get a ton of snow in my area and with a car there was some times I couldn't exit my street or community. Also a truck will make camping easier. Come on dude, I drove a '79 Corolla around in Edmonton in the winter. How the fuck are you not getting out of your community. Fucking calgarians and their shitty trucks.

Bring back Ed Milliband I say. What a leader.

Seriously, I hope they open Season 3 with a 10 minute Philip monologue - it should start with an amusing anecdote about the American civil war, touch briefly on sexual hedonism in the 1960s, and close on why he is the most powerful person in the world. At least we can kind of see where this is going now. Heh. I love me some Phillip monologues. Even though his scenes are basically a monolgue or nothing, I enjoy them. Seriously, he's probably my favorite character on the show. I don't know about my favorite character, but I do honestly love his monologues. When he was haranguing the people at the Fed, that was quite lush.
