  1. CoaX ekekeke qplay reminds me of bine, a lot actually Coax ekekee? wtf here is the guy i was referring to - http://www.boomkat.com/item.cfm?id=104786 his name is Robert Logan and he is pretty skilled at making weird beat based music, hes the source of those clips on that server he announced them over at xltronic. now there are 2 possibilites. Last time right before Quaristice Robert shared some very high quality clips of the same files that were played on the 'on the wire' radio show right before quaristice came out (far higher quality than the actual rips from the radio show). this leads me to believe he somehow had access to the Quaristice promo aroun the same time all the other press had it. This time around i'd be surprised if promos were already floating around but it's definitely possible he'll again have early access to it. I'm just not hearing anything obviously autechre in these tracks.
  2. fake, but this one sounds decent . I have a feeling CX from xltronic is making these, he's definitely capable of it
  3. smash up the pram from lobster tracks best use of the stuttering glitching effect possibly in the history of music when i first heard this it blew my mind and my penis
  4. i do agree with the homosexuality linkages in regards to not liking cylob's new material. and if Bound's Green is 'old' material then my name is Faggy mcfaggerstien
  5. yes please post another poetry thread, that wasn't cringe inducing at all.
  6. this thread is drop dead fred, long live Phoebe Cates
  7. i love the fact that this thread ranks so high in the google results for rephlex right now
  8. is there a way to easily listen to the entire catalog on here or do i have to just load up the individual releases page? having a lot of fun just firing up rephlex releases i've never gotten a chance to listen to. and enjoying your new lp, so thank you robert moses, thank you very much i bet stores like boomkat are clamoring to get ahold of these digital files to sell on their own store. hopefully Rephlex will keep it on the site only, i like it better that way
  9. i also admire the lack of FLAC. WAV is serious business.
  10. i could easily see somebody clueless distributing FLAC versions of these wavs but encoded at the wrong speed (ie: setting them as 44.1 khz instead of 48) i'd like to think that was an intentional aphex twin prank
  11. they were probably ripped off the heavy vinyl non picture disc that came with the binder ah ok i didn't realize there was non picture disc version,
  12. every time i hear people talk about how shit quality picture disc 'vinyl' records cost i always think of Analord 10. I can't say i've listened to any other picturediscs of quality music but all the versions of i've heard ripped online of it sound great. Now off to listen to my 48khz wave copy
  13. after giving all of these analord tracks a listen i'm pretty pleased, i take back what i said in part. i'm enjoying them significantly more than anything on the first analord series besides #10
  14. re: Impakt did you listen to analord 4 6. AFX - In The Maze Park ? the sonic decimator on one fill in the song sounds like an intentional joke
  15. this new track Stabbij is pretty awesome @ AFX: ANALORD 03 #5 edit: anybody have the feeling aphex might have made these tracks recently?
  16. That would explain the hiss they all have. yes i forgot that hiss can only come from analogue tape and not from hundreds of pieces of antiquated analogue gear aphex twin has in his studio i love how the website has all this stuff that isn't available on physical format yet, labels should do this more often. Especially one like Rephlex where they don't really have to worry about making sure they promote a record too hard, so they don't have to coordinate the ad campaign with the phyiscal release date edit: also awesome they list the BPM on every track, more dance centric people should do this. Yarhar, why be such a dick? =\ im sorry if i was dickish, im just curious being the nerd audio engineer that i am i can't think of any other reason why they would be in 48khz unless they were originally recorded that way. And it could very well be that he did record them onto tape and then transfer them to a DAT or protools or something
  17. is it just me or does this webpage look like it's ripping html bits from Discogs.com? or it just resembles the look in an odd way, anyone else get this vibe?
  18. you must be on a high right now, first you get your musical inspiration back and then this update.

  20. 48khz seems to imply to me that the analords were recorded originally to DAT, what do you guys think? i remember most members here seemed to think they were recorded to analogue tape, which is still possible but 48khz is an odd choice for sampling rate unless you're recording to digital video tape or DAT
  21. after hearing some of these new analord's , just one thing i'd like to say. thank god for EOD / impakt's existence
  22. i can't believe it, it seems like im dreaming (does reality check)
  23. for the 2001 tour, for the most part, Autechre used 3-4 generative/random maxmsp song patches to perform from at each show. There is a fantastic soundboard recording of one of the gigs from i think Toronto. I don't think any of the stuff on this tour was ever turned into proper songs .
  24. someone told me a story once about bumping into Brothomstates at a bar, they ended up getting in a heated argument that led to Brothomstates breaking a bottle on the bar to turn into a weapon. could be totally false, but i enjoyed the tale.
  25. i would trade a Virus TI for an MD in a heartbeat, but definitely play with one first to see if you really want to make the switch. I think you could get a decent bread and butter synth for a lot cheaper than a Virus TI if you still felt like you needed one in the studio
