  1. Those Caustic Window tags didn't last five minutes on my copy, sorry Phex Twinnipicks.
  2. Yeah this confused me too, not sure whether the tracks are supposed to include the BPM's or not, and if then where they should be in the title. RDJ probably doesn't even know. I have everything titled the way it's on the packaging, ignoring the BPM because of where it's positioned on the artwork (same reasoning as why you wouldn't put a track duration in the title tag). So I used parentheses and left the letter case completely intact (using the Discogs guidelines just looks wrong here IMO). This tagging method satisfies me even though it doesn't follow my usual system, it just feels right.
  3. Early access to the minipops 67 (source field mix) download, and a sticker and card, as far as I can tell. I didn't order from them this time either since the whole "pay early, get your stuff late" aspect of it has been a turnoff for me in the past and I have a store at walking distance from the office that was somewhat predictably selling it before the release date. But even compared to other online sellers the speed and cost of shipping aren't very competitive.
  4. It's on the back of the third vinyl cover Yeah just noticed that thx :) I guess I was too hurried to look at the sleeves ! Haha, yeah, in case my shitty photo was confusing, that's the inner sleeves resting on the outer. All three have their respective tracklist on one side and then one has the gear graphic on the back.
  5. where you finding the download codes? my card doesnt say much on it It's on a little paper card inside the sleeve. Haven't tried it but it makes sense that it would only work from the official release date. thanks, i hadn't broken the seal on that yet :) I 'broke the seals' about 5 minutes after getting home with these yesterday, too exaited.

  7. are u angry? I'll give it an 8/10. That's the curse of being someone as famous and "original" like him. People expect to see something new and shit like that, and when he doesn't do it, people gets angry. ;_; The man himself may not think it's very 'next-level' but I still find myself needing to wrap my head around it. Think I've heard the album 4 or 5 times now and I'm still noticing entire sections of tracks that somehow didn't register on previous listens. It may not be a leap forward but at least it's a big step sideways from everything else out there. Honestly can't remember a release ever living up to its hype the way this thing is doing for me, fuck.
  8. 'Do not pre-order' strategy paid off in the end, although joke's on me, I'll have paid for three copies including the incoming jp CD.
  9. Picked up the 3xLP and CD today, my local record store was up to its old tricks again.
  10. For me it's striking a balance between plain groovy fun and all the intricacy and diversity you'd expect from an Aphex Twin record. Great upon first impression and bound to open up further with repeated listens (if minipops is anything to go by), love it already.
  11. Well, there's your problem.
  12. It's beautiful alright, I might need new headphones though, and some sleep. Off to bed now.
  13. that the quality is ass or that is has leaked? so both, right? Only if ass is a good thing. It isn't some shitty transcode if that's what you're thinking.
  14. produk 29 reminds me of vibert for some reason i felt produk 29 was very boc, but yea the end of pseudo perhaps too bocbocbocboc most celebrated and influential sonic shartist
  15. Piezoluminescence-Singapore-Earth Portal is going to be a fun ride. Minehead sample stops just before the best part.
  16. Some pirate lurking on WATMM is probably on his way to that store right now.
  17. Oh shit, Teaserex in full effect.
  18. isn't that the famous green dropcard? if so its pretty much old news no? Probably but I wouldn't mind something for a vinyl pre-order I placed (along with probably dozens of folks on here). You already got minipops I suppose? Now all that's left is the exquisite pleasure of having your physical item shipped to you slowly and expensively so that you receive it sometime after everyone else has gotten theirs from the shops for cheaper. At least that's what my experience with Exai and TH was like. This time I'll just torrent the shit out of it at the first chance I get, try to buy the vinyl somewhere on release day, and finally wait for my Japanese CD to arrive.
  19. Wikipedia has the following (which if you look at the references seems to be based mostly on people checking their local iTunes release dates): Seems kind of random, doesn't it?
  20. One of my local record stores had Exai on their shelves a couple of days before the release, but maybe that wasn't as "highly street date sensitive"? Even if it doesn't "leak", when Australia, New Zealand and a couple of European countries get Syro on Friday, that means by Thursday night/Friday morning European time someone will probably have already shared it, and if I can I'll be listening to it over the weekend and not waiting until Monday to be honest. What's the reasoning behind those staggered release dates anyway?
