Gave TH a couple of listens this week after not playing it since around the time we got the Caustic Window downloads. I think that's the longest I've gone without it, and I'm liking it better than ever now. Not that I ever was a detractor, but maybe all BOC albums somehow get better with age? I remember how cold and harsh Geogaddi sounded to me compared to their older releases, and I don't even notice that anymore. Likewise, The Campfire Headphase had a sort of sickly-sweet almost cheesy quality to it that wore off eventually. So anyway I feel like I'm not paying too much attention to TH's pristine sounding horror soundtrack exterior anymore and have homed in on its less obvious qualities. It's all about seeing hope and beauty in a superficially grim and terrifying future and the music now seems to mirror that perfectly, I love it.

Is this really another pressing with the bonus track? Fucking really? Looks that way. Unless Amazon have the wrong information. Is this really another pressing with the bonus track? Fucking really? Pretty sure they just have the wrong art up. I don't think they're going to do a different cut to fit everything on the same amount of records just for Japan. A bonus record would make more sense.

Unless I got the exchange rate completely wrong the CD's only just over € 30 (incl. shipping) from the Japanese Amazon, I'd say go for it. LOL why won't WATMM let me type a euro symbol. £$¥€

101 Rainbows is a favorite here too, I could probably listen to just the first loop for a couple of hours, all the changes are a bonus. There was mention of a "not so ambient" mix of it appearing in one of his live sets, anyone got a link? The track I liked least at first has to be Jazzphase, but it's grown on me. It sounds like a mid 90s jazzy french house track that's been breathed on by AFX but somehow it works. -
I love my Clip and am on my second one but that 'cricket chirping' noise they make would be a giveaway to anyone who's owned one. I have had two clips and I have no idea what you mean by that! My best guess is it's a kind of buffering noise like mcbpete said. It's very distinctive and audible on quieter sections but it's not always there and I'm not exactly sure how to reproduce it. Never investigated because it doesn't bother me, I'm not even sure that it's specific to certain files. Maybe big (lossless) files or large album art in the tags or something would provoke it. I mostly notice it when I'm out running and have it playing for longer periods of time. Maybe the thing just gets tired.
