What is the deal with the songs on the radio and on the speakers in various clothing stores today? Here is how they go: There is a brief thematic introduction in the beginning, usually some, by now, horribly cliched trance build up that I have heard since, as you say, the early 90's, followed by the course which typically consists of extremely TONIC-focused singing/talking/rapping, (tonic as in pretty much every vocal note is on the 1 of the scale, for those who don't know), and the lyrics are typically variations of, "back that up, do it do it, look so good, lets get through it, dance all night, bring it closer, that's alright, lets get closer." Then comes a bridge, and this is literally how every song in that category goes, "let's move our bodies tonight, this night will last forever, come on and hold me tight, this night's not ending, never..." The course is typically some meaningless phrase that potentially millions of people view as close-to-the-heart axioms of their generation, maybe, "Light up the night like a firefly, turn up the music til we touch the sky," which is accompanied by those syncopated trance stabs. dude I think this is gay anthem

If you look at the feet in the first picture you will find that ole Dustin despite his already vertical disadvantage next to the towering John Vioght, still has to take a few steps back up the hill to gain a few more critical inches. This concludes that there is a optimum position of altitude over distance which is called The Hoffman Point, where a basic optical illusion could help save you from looking like a child with a 40yr old face!

Aside from all the unneccesarily mad sex, it is actually quite a good film. If you enjoyed it I recommend you watch Legend Of The Demon Womb (second instalment). The rest of the series (Return of the Overfiend, Inferno Road, New Saga, Final Chapter) tend to veer off into quite flaky territory, both story and animation wise. is this the movie that starts out with the nazis hooking up a bunch of bound ladies to fucking machines? The original trilogy version is soooo much better than the UK cut which missed out a lot of plot/storyline. Extreme manga at its best but mainly for the lads methinx.

Extracted - borrowing concepts from Inception, Source Code and even Quantum Leap the science doesn't get in the way of an interesting 'who done it' plot line. The good cast and sharp direction keeps this low budget sci-fi well away from feeling like a TV movie. 7.5/10 Oblivion - on a second watching, like you guys say, I now can see every other movie... but the film still looks pretty sweet.

MacGruber - a few laughs but not much else 4/5 The Comedy - Tim Heidecker in a melancholic indie style pseudo intellectual none comedy that doesn't quite hit the mark of what it sets out to do and as a result a lot of it feels very long winded. Still has its moments but instead of reflecting on the the behavior of the lead role after the film has finished all you think about is that there was something missing. 6/10 The Europa Report - excellent and original sci-fi kinda what Apollo 18 should have been. (good recommendation Robert Moses) 9/10 Pain and Gain - whilst not the most intelligent comedy I though Michael Bay's OTT style kinda worked and The Rock was hilarious. A refreshing change to see an American comedy that didn't have the likes Vince Vaughan or Ben Stiller and amazed that it was actually based on true events 6.8/10

interesting, I seem to remember something slightly different, that the user claimed that the Simmm was a more direct reference to an obscure synth, the same synth they used in Fermium. Something about those very crunchy sharp FM sounds don't sound like either Elektron box to me, but I have no i idea what they actually are. If i were to guess I'd say they came off some Yamaha TX fm rack unit now this has been said I can totally hear it albeit with some very nice post production mastering

Kick Ass 2 - lacking the dark violent novelty of the first but just as witty and action packed 8/10 The Baytown Outlaws - better than average entertainment with a half decent cast 6.8/10 The Conjuring - shit/10 Reanimator - forgotten how quirky and well paced this B horror classic is 9/10

well so did most of the US at the time! When you see that footage Michael Moore making an ass of himself at the Oscars to a cringing star studded audience you realize now that he was totally correct and TA had these pussies down for what they really are.

It's a bit long but being a big Robocop fan I was riveted plus Weller goes on about loads of other cool shit too from William Burroughs to art history.

Trance - well made, well acted and well directed and although the concept was good (with elements of Shallow Grave) the writing was atrocious to the point of piss taking plot twists towards the end whilst trying to be more intelligent than it actually was. 5/10 Spring Breakers - Although lacking the dark humor of Korine's other films he manages to win with style over substance which I think few directors could have pulled off with such convincing authenticity giving the movie an original sexy cool edge even if it's a little padded out in places. Great cinematography tho I wasn't too sure I could take Franco seriously looking like that. 8/10 Pacific Rim - Flawed silly and cheesy but awesome on IMAX. 9/10 ahem Matt Damon???

I enjoyed Watchmen and 300 but he had it easy adapting almost exactly from a comic book for the screenplays however Man of Steel felt more like Sucker Punch. This will be disposable tosh.

no the whole films purpose is in the final scene (origami?) and with regards to Roy Batty he knew he was dying and didn't want to die alone which is a very human trait coming from a replicant which questions their right to life ect. Watch it again but stay off the sugar puffs. Just got back from Man of Steel and wow what a clusterfuck! Watching it was like eating a chocolate roll made from a tiramisu and I can't believe they gave Snyder the budget to get away with all that! That shite acting from a decent but totally miscast cast says it all imho and the editing was done by a dog with sissors. This again adheres to a comic fanatic friend of mine's theory who says Marvel are trying to make definitive movie versions of their heroes and continue to combine the story lines where DC films tend to be hugely flawed so people dismiss them quickly so they tell the same story again later on with another half arsed effort as the hero is always bigger then the film and people will always flock to it. 5/10

The Tall Man - quite an original spooky thriller with a twisty plot. I'm surprised this one slipped under the radar and I'm surprised that Jessica Biel can actually act! 7.7/10 The Girl from the Naked Eye - Sin City esque mid budget action thriller that whilst doesn't stand out in any particular area seems to be greater than the sum of its parts as it never pretends to be what it isn't even with obvious nods to other films. The cool stylish vibe keeps you going and the characters in it are quite amusing even if it gets a little long winded in places. 6.9/10

Blade Runner is a clunky masterpiece that need's to be watched a few times to appreciate the subtleties and even though the imagery has been ripped off sooo many times it still sets the standard which is quite amazing given it was made in 82. It's predominantly an expensive art film with a subtle insight into the human condition. so I take it you didn't get the ending?

Olympus has Fallen - better than average action blockbuster but the Die Hard clichés spoil what could have been half decent and I wasn't sure about Gerard Butler either 6.5/10 The Losers - great cast, shit film 4/10

the worst thing I found about learning music theory is using a traditional instrument and spending more time learning the chords and scale placements then having to learn to play them well and getting stuck into bad habits to get around this I highly recommend Tenori-On which is also available as an app and anything with a 'force to scale' you can transpose

Gene Roddenberry died during the making of this film. I'm not sure how much input he had in the way it was going but apparently the movie was intended to be sort of a parallel to the berlin wall falling. The original script made the Enterprise crew seem a lot less racist/xenophobic than they do the way it was shot. For example the part where Kirk says 'Let them die!' to Spock had Kirk making an embarrassed/saddened expression realizing what he had just said, but it was cut shorter to make Kirk seem even less empathetic than it was originally written. From what i remember reading in the original plot it was actually the Federation and not the Kilingons at all that end up hatching the conspiracy. We are misdirected by the bald Klingon in the original version of the film thinking he is a bad guy but actually ends up working with Kirk at the end to fight the evil conspirators in the federation I'm probably one of the only people i know who really likes Generations, I think it's a worthy bridge movie to bring both star trek universes together. In some ways it's more similar to an episode of the series than any of the movies are. Probably in part why it was so widely hated. The action was minimal and instead it aimed for a more emotional/scifi driven plot. Plus it's the longest stretch of time we get to see Data turn on his emotion chip, something they never let us see the way we do in the movie. The other TNG movies take a sharp turn into later period Deep Space 9 action driven plots. I still enjoy watching them but they definitely feel totally different tonally to the actual series. First Contact probably being the best, Insurrection is passable (but also ludicrously plotted) and Nemesis is absolutely awful. Nemesis is very much trying to ride the coat tails of Wrath of Khan but fails in just about every way. Red Letter Media's 1 hour long review of it is better than the movie itself. Generations should have been good but the ending/climax was very badly put together especially the final Kirk scene which should have been epic was just meh. Currently working my way through the Original remastered series, kinda not sure if I like the charm of the shitty late 60's SFX better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HU2ftCitvyQ
