Must admit this little thing is becoming my fav AE release too. Funny how they attached Mcr Quarter live on the end of this, it feels totally out of place and yet seems to fit perfectly at the same time. Weird it's not on Envane with all the other Quarters. There's nothing like rockin out to Mcr Quarter, it sounds like some futuristic space version of the Rio De Janero street festival going on all over town. Great!

Exactly what has an arabis feel towards the end? The album or a specific song? I'm intrigued. Tewe has a definite south American shamanic vibe thing going on so spose it's possible hehe

Very concise review there thehauntingsoul, deep and reflective as usual :) good too see good sir Confield was the first Ae album i listened to properly (May this year) and kickstarted my summer of Ae. It took a few listens and I especially remember Parheric Triangle, or "punchy" as I referred to it (there is a definite punch sound consistently through it) which I found quite comical. Then I fell in love with Lentic, it's so encompassing and frenetically hypnotic it leaves you feeling cleansed, or brainwashed hehe. But a nice feeling it is, nice they left a few minutes of silence to catch your breath at the end of the song. These are the 2 tracks that stand out for me here, Uviol is very nice too. The other songs are good but not standout for me. Not many Ae albums leave me with a certain feeling, because I find every track to be very different and find it hard to feel a certain mood or consistency in an album. So much is often packed into an Ae track and they are so diverse.

Yeah but you could say that about any tattoo that you don't know what is. Like someone could have some heavy metal band logo thing going on and I would go 'what the hell is that anyway is just looks meaningless' to him it would be meaningful and he'd probably punch me. Most people will probably also be baffled at why I have an AE on my shoulder. But to me, and you lot, we know what it is and it means alot to us.

On my recent trip to Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Me and my girlfriend decided to get tattoos done. Browsing through their catalogues of usual motives of skulls etc. I wondered. And then remembered wouldn't it be cool to have the ae logo. Decided. Whilst getting it done I got the tattooist (who also dug electronic music) to hook my mp3 up to his laptop so I could listen to Autechre whilst gettin my tattoo done! Halfwat through someone changed it to Pixies, but thats all good. He liked Autechre and I ended up transferring all me muzak to his laptop. I truly felt like a missionart spreading the word, and was happy in the knowledge that one day soon he would be getting his Autechre breakthrough, and all because of me hehe
