  1. Samsara strange scene of business man rubbing his face in mud/thom yorke as a war veteran/chickens being hoovered up and sprayed out again....... Top marks for visuals, which yielded some nice screen captures. Although I found the constant - people like ants - time lapsing got weary after a while. God Bless America Turned off after around 30mins. Awful. Not sure who the film seemed to mock more; its perceived enemies, the "brainwashed conformist consumerists" or the "brainwashed self proclaiming victims of such a society" ie the two idiotic protaganists.

    draft 7.30

xylin room has those wood blockish sounding beats, definetely wood sounding percussion on surripere too
  3. Lol. If I hadn't already seen it, your mini review there would have made me really want to see it. I have fond memories of it, didn't have great expectations either though. Definetely preferred its sedated dreamy feel to that of Antichrist; which would have been far superior had Von Trier not insisted on having to put those crude scenes in (you know which ones) Dogville was classic; great storytelling, acting etc. Strange man, strange films. But always quite interesting.
  4. It's a while since I've watched this, but, gay innuendo? I thought that was just meant to be a portrayal of friendship. Good film though. John Woo made some good action films back then. How naive it was to think this could be translated to Hollywood whilst keeping its style and integrity intact. lol.

    draft 7.30

The sequence of these three albums is astonishing. 2001-2005 Autechres most exciting and interesting period.
  6. in quenab youla on vii nell oh yeah. Exai. Lookin forward to that.

    Untilted

Yup. And I'd say Confield tops Draft. Surripere sounds like Draft having a mildly disturbing Confield flashback.
  8. The Signal 6/10 Good little horror film told in three parts about a transmitted signal turning people paranoid. Got some decent lols out of the second section.
  9. @ Jimmy. I'm glad to hear that. A sequel to Sound Of My Voice would be brilliant. I felt the film had so much going for it and suddenly it just fucking ends somewhere around halfway its potential length with so many loose ends.
  10. sound of my voice 6.5/10 really enjoyable film about two jounalists investigating a cult. Too bad the lazy ending left one with a bad taste in the mouth. shame 5/10 mildly satisfying, but rarely dares to be gritty and in depth enough about its subject matter (and to a certain degree its characters) to properly hit home.
  11. x files on season 6 at the moment, i like the infusion of humour and interesting story telling techniques that start cropping up here around season 5/6, Triangle episode was great as were the Dreamland episodes. Looking forward to Field Trip...
  12. Prometheus was totally useless and forgettable on almost every level. I don't get why people who liked Alien would dislike Alien that much. Apart from the first Alien film, Alien 3 has the best atmosphere, not just of impending doom from the aliens themselves but the seething animosity amongst the inmates. Also I thought the character of Clemens was wonderfully sobering and with a good back story, and the "romance" or prelude to one, worked well as yet another glimmer of hope being wrenched from Ripley. The chase scenes are good, the intro scene (if you have the special edition) is quintessencial of the dark, abandoned mood set by the first Alien film. Also Alien 3 has a fucking awesome ending. I don't get why Alien fans have any beef with this third instalment. Alien Resurrection had some fantastic ideas but came off way too tongue in cheek and was awfully written. Aliens, I think, everyone can agree on being a classic. If not for anything else than for the "techy awesomeness" and badassness you mentioned.
  13. exai is the new draft/untilted rolled in a full confield bun sprinkled with quaristice baked in an amber oven
  14. Is this from the 8th season? just finished the 7th season. tis good, but miss the old episodes a bit. Dobby annoys the hell out of me and what's up with super hans going all straight?
  15. I heard geese have a mild tendency toward midlife crisis' themselves. When my midlife crisis kicks in I plan on getting one of these bundles of fun
  16. Great news! Was a bit worried they had gone and done a quaristice when I saw 17 tracks, but then noticed the playtime clocking in at a lush 2h 32sec! Celebratory bottle of FLeure! Cheers boys!
  17. you could skip the donkeys and just make them out of the fur of the llamas, bald llamas and makeshift donkeys. Or llama as a pet and donkeys for (slow) transportation you don't want anything going too fast in your midlife crisis rehab south american farm/zoo
  18. yep. carpentry skills (for building your own love shack in south america) brush up on knowledge needed for growing some crops (in south america) If you don't already know, then learn how to raise chickens, donkeys a few lamas. How to gut the chickens for cooking etc. you could even have some cocoa plants and stuff, you are your lovely hot blooded sexy south american lady.
