if you're comfortable with it, pls tell watmm your gender (and/or sexual) identity, it would be interesting to know what we all see ourselves as. editing this bc (if you read the original version) it's pretty clear i conflated a few concepts to start by introducing myself: gender: cis male. sexuality: ace, not aro, i can get close to pretty much anyone, have had a number of what i'd consider deeply close male friendships over the years (that achilles-patroclus / david-jonathan / gilgamesh-enkidu type, idk if that description actually helps lol) that i will always value and remember, and have also dated / been close to absolutely wonderful women in my life (including the most holy-shit-i'm-in-love-lemme-write-a-song unforgettable sorta thing), and i appreciate all of these experiences. longest relationship was with a woman who also identified as ace, it was nice to be on that page with someone else for so long and to be able to talk about it in the open. willing to explain myself more if anyone cares or asks. gender is a hard thing to nail down and tbh i've sometimes struggled (as a "gray ace") to understand / be understood by most other orientations, but as a cis male i have a pretty thick layer of "passing privilege" and fly under the radar most of the time. i'd love to hear about everyone's experiences. i'm lucky to have known and made friends with a variety of people of different genders and sexual identities, trans, bi, straight, enby, pan, etc, and they have all been patient and kind with any conversations i've asked for so i'm hoping watmm will be just as tolerant DO NOT BRING BIGOTRY OR ANY KIND OF HATE INTO THIS THREAD, THANK YOU

to be honest it's really hard to describe and is unlike anything else I know of, but i recently tried to describe a few bits of my experiences to a friend via text and I wrote "I've sped along parabolic curves while the size of an atom, felt floating invisible orbs pass through my body (odd but not uncomfortable)... and repeatedly felt what I can only describe as divine love and compassion bloom in myself and fully convince me that it was the true nature of things..." (that last bit is not exclusive to K, fwiw). there was another time that i experienced traveling along a rising spiral made of individual consciousnesses, some burning far brighter than others. it's weird, man. anyway, all that said, i have no idea how people can take K while clubbing. any light whatsoever was extremely bothersome to me (my speaker disconnected once and a blue LED in the otherwise pitch black room prevented me from navigating to the desk so i eventually gave up and laid in silence lol), and as it can seriously dilate time if you let it, music with a perceivable steady beat also felt somehow intrusive. hence my reference to music for airports in the other post. chopin's nocturnes were also a fav. I would try to take notes afterwards sometimes, and there's one journal I still have that has notes like "color is separation" and "I am harmony" and "it wants to be heard" and "nothing, darkness, silence, says all that can be said" (a line of thought that years later I was happy to encounter in Novalis' "Hymns to the Night") one other thing I can mention is that the experience seemed to be heavily influenced by whatever I had mentally imbibed in the previous hours, so I'd usually try to spend my time with something that brought me joy like a favorite philosopher or math or some such thing. once i watched a bunch of crust punk videos before getting into it and was greeted by visions of needles and death. didn't make that mistake again. hope that helps

this is cool and K is my fav and hugely helpful for depression/anxiety -- that said, I just answered 10,000 questions and eventually ended at a page telling me I could get their introductory program for three payments of $386 USD. cool. street is a way better dealer and the k hole frequency is my call. me and music for airports will be chillin in the dark while in this shit takes off but it's a good start, i appreciate michael pollan and the other boomers making this happen

i managed to get the rest of the tape to play and it seems it's a mixtape i made, i think it's me playing? i really have no recollection of that tune so i'm hesitant to take credit, but it sounds a lot like something else i made when i tooled around in cubase for a few days back in i think 2010-11? (i got along really well with one of the stock synths, halion maybe?) i was also practicing piano at the time which would help explain the satie, but the timeline doesn't quite add up, my tape stuff wasn't set up when i lived in that apartment let's just say it's jesius

They also asked my astrology sign and I was all "tropical or sidereal?" cuz i'm a smartass (Sagittarius or Scorpio, respectively). When the old lady, who I'm closer with, texted me asking about my sign, I told her I didn't really identify with it, but after our conversation I read a bunch of stuff about Sagittarius and it's way too fucking accurate was I a white girl working in a crystal shop in a past life?
