Fucking watched Independence Day: Resurgence
Lacked entertainment, humour and excitement. Was an awful pastiche of throw backs to the first film whilst missing everything that was fun about it.
Too much dense seizure inducing CGI, not enough lols.
Even Jeff Goldblum had zero good lines of dialogue and just had to look mildly concerned at the peril.

So stuff right in the fine border of industrial and noise. Have tried some artists - many of them mentioned also on this thread - but most of the noise stuff is too, eh, high pitched and make my ears bleed. So I guess I'm more looking for stuff with little smoother edges. Kinda gives me the same feeling like some ambient; instead of listening to samples of calming sound of a waterfall I get a screeching sound of pouring stream of scrap.
One finnish record seller who is a serious noise veteran (Grunt, Clinic Of Torture) has a section in his shop called "hipster noise", maybe that's the exact genre I'm after here.

Aliens was absolutely amazing when I was about 12
exactly, proper amazing at the time. Watched it so much I could recite the script word for word. Directors cut and all.

Isolation is better than 2... and 3, and 4..... and Prometheus and Covenant.Isolation needs to be on that list, and in 3rd or possibly even 2nd position.

2 is really bad. The effects are still amazing, but overall the movie really hasn't aged well.
Aliens is amazing.

Alien3 (especially Directors Cut) is actually ok if you don't think about it too hard. I'd give it a 7/10

You can do up to 16 bar loops on the volca kick
Yeah I noticed you can chain sequences together easily. Can also increase the tempo range to up to 600bpm (lol) but then you can make some awesome kickrush effects :)

Ok I am now on a self enforced gear acquisition ban, 3 months off. You can quote me on this!
Just picked up a 2nd hand Volca Kick off eBay (had a couple of quick plays but it really is fun, intuition and got some good patterns out of it already).
Also purchased a granular synthesis algorithm module from Norway, looks like its very versatile and adaptable. Not cheap but well you know GAS
I now reckon I have everything I need to get plenty of recordings together, and the beauty is I can use it all live so hoping to do a couple of live shows.
