  1. handed bit oversteppy, non? less castles ladies and knights, more happy outer space tour of the futureI definitely hear Oversteps in that track. Been a while since I last listened to it tho so I can't pinpoint which track it reminds me, its a dream-like experience
  2. Okay now we're talking! Love those percussive sounds! Remind me of the Logan Rock Witch creepyness
  3. Could this be the 2 hours of "air" tracks ambient-heads were waiting for?
  4. It clearly wasn't a great idea to release that track just a few minutes before the Autechre show lol. Anyway I don't really know what to do with that track. Will listen to it again within the context of the video. Glad to hear he's doing new things tho!
  5. Roses are red, Violets are blue, I broke my neck while head-banging on dummy casual pt. 2
  6. Been thinking about that as well. Elseq was already a bit odd marketing-wise but every OPN release on Warp always had massive promo campaign. My guess is that Warp didn't want to start a promo campaign knowing that Autechre was to release 8h of music all over the month of April. Maybe they'll tease a bit more the OPN LP during the month of may ? Or you could be right with the "wider phenomenon" thing. OPN, just like many younger artists I follow, posts loads of things on his Instagram story. Many are album-related so that might be his promo !
  7. If you went for That-Other-Boxset, that's twelb albums at once
  8. What cat sound ? I'm currently giving session 1 another listen and didn't notice that ! But I noticed how beautiful the tiny synth chords were at the end of the track... Really really beautiful, I love that kind of stuff. t1a1 = new favorite ?
  9. Speaking of Quaristice, it just made me realize how intense the Live / Elseq / NTS material is. It sounds almost peaceful now, despite the fact that it was (to me) the most challenging Ae album to listen to!
  10. Holy shit how could I miss something like that hahaha ! (took me a while to figure your post out so for other WATMMers : mwan is the pronunciation of french word "moine" which indeed means "monk")
  11. Lol hahaha. I have to say tho, at first I agreed with the comment about the lack of bass. But then I realized the bass of my speakers was turned to zero. Well session 3 opened to me a bit more after I had that figured out tbh
  12. Yeah of course haha that's why I said it wasn't satisfying ;) Been listening once again to session #3 this afternoon and it's really mind bending BUT I can't get into the fly and air tracks. I like the fact that everything hasn't clicked yet and that I feel challenged by the music :)
  13. Hmmmm well the "pd" could stand for Pure Data but it's not a satisfying explanation isn't it :p ?
  14. Re: track names, I'm thinking that the recurring names might refer to specific modules they're using within their maxMSP environment. The "air" could be a good example of that. Hell they might even have designed a specific module to spit track names according to which other modules they're using for the track...
  15. I finally found what was bugging me in splesh : the bassline starting around 1 minute is very reminiscent (to me) of the 42DIMENSIT10 track from Aphex Twin Field Day album !
  16. Note to non French WATMMers : that sounds silly but it's actually true. Also : lol
  17. I'm really getting strong Draft 14.60 vibes from those last tracks !
  18. The 6IE.CR remix I didn't know I needed
  19. Hell that even to Autechre very high standards, and even to the NTS Session higher standards this first half is really next level !!!
  20. Lol ! Sam & Bob just met their very own Ravi Shankar. Time to open the chackras up !
  21. Tracks are still really flowing seamlessly, it's awesome.
  22. Hahaha that "screech" sound ! Straight out of Ufabulum :squarepusher:
