I think that, starting from the Hangable Auto Bulb era, what you would considered a listenable track was longer to produce. Before that, he would jam on synths and drum machines, and it's a lot easier to get 3, 4 or 5 minutes of listenable music this way. I don't think he's got a lot of unreleased finished Drukqs songs, but instead things like "7 Cutting". So, yeah, i think the uploads will be more scarce tomorrow, but i really want to be proved wrong.

Lazonby - Sacred Cycles Just as an aside, I knew this from a compilation called Psychotrance mixed by Mr. C from '93 or '94. I felt victorious in my techno autism and was sure that Shazam would not know deep cuts like this. I played my copy and I'll be damned--Shazam tagged it. Shazam killed the trainspotter star. anything in particular you were expecting? Heh. I was expecting some fun moments, and i got those. But i am really disappointed by the lack of interesting melodies/chord progression, especially in the second half of the album, despite some really cool basslines. I don't like the way it's mixed/mastered, even if i was expecting a lot of lofi sounds. Some parts are really messy. We got so much good electronic music for the past years, it's not surprising Richard can't top something like Druqks (and he's close with tracks like the Metz track), but i was expecting some shivers down my spine during the listening of this album, and it never really happened. I just listened to it once, i have to listen to it a few more times, but i know it's not my new favorite Aphex album.

Playing Alan Wake completely baked :s some good moments, really good graphics and sometimes good atmospheres, BUT the story is really cliché and cheesy, and the game is realised like a DTV horror movie, a bad one. I don't think i will finish it, i'll move on with Dishonored.

Wow, this thread contains some very in-depth analysis of this trend, and i really dig it. That's why i love this forum :) Btw, can someone help me find a vaporwave video, an old one : girls in spandex dancing, from a club promo vhs or something like that, and the soundtrack was replaced with a vaporwave track, and i think the title of the video was "Happy Birthday !", or there was inserts saying happy birthday during the video. I remember it was posted in the Youtube thread on this forum, one or two years ago...
