Salvatorin Posted March 29, 2009 Share Posted March 29, 2009 any of you yankee doodle dandys familiar with Centralia,PA apparently coal under the town has been burning for 50 years and is expected to last another 250 years the town is deserted and smoke leaks from the cracked streets (i just read this in the Darvaz comments) sounds pretty eerie ah yes I went there once, I'd like to go back and camp out there for awhile. If anything you would like the Chernobyl footage. They filmed a bunch of different areas in Pripyat Ukraine to use as an example of what happens when humans are out of the picture. Someone split the series into nine parts on youtube, here is the first: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fO3Vag0Ugu4 The first has links to the second and second to third etc.....
