is this yours sneak?

yes, but i'd call it melodic braindance, not IDM. Mostly mid tempo stuff, some not, some electro tossed about, some beat fuckery, and "the shining". I like it, so I guess that's all that matters, eh?

alot of names have been mentioned alreaddy...but whit this list I confirm them.

(would be surprised if you dont know most of these)

-Acidburp

-Acrnym (verry similar to Venetian Snares so a bit more core-like,but more melodic)

-Autechre -tracks- Flutter and Slip

-Automatic Tasty -track- your red coat (!)

-Bogdan Raczynski -album- Alright! (most tracks are happy-vibed and have typical Bogdan-breaks but more 4/4 than usual)

-Cylob (2 or 3 last albums, good stuff ,nice melodies, happy sometimes)

-Candlestickmaker (closest thing to Wisp imo)

-Electracomplex (close to Candlestickmaker and Kallipolis, melodic drill'n bass/electronica)

(is aka Abfhart Hinwil,is a collab,also excellent)

-Gareth Clarke (also nicely melodic with rather chaotic breaks)

-Koolmorf Widesen (guy from italy, good breaks with good melody/mood)

woops, Kallipolis twice in that list ,my apoligees

He's that damn good though! He had a cracking tune on his myspace a few weeks ago, but he took it down! Bah! Hopefully he will release it soon.

Also check out http://themrecords.com/ pretty much everything released so far is pretty lovely, melodic music. :D

(I know you know this skip)

Wow, dude you should have asked about *GOOD* melodic IDM. Dozens of the artists listed in this thread are not worth listening to, IMHO. Obviously a comprehensive list of melodic IDM artists is somewhat interesting, but I guarantee you a large portion of them suck.
