hey all just wondering if there are any melodic IDM albums out there other than "The R.D.J album" and Mu-Ziq's "Royal Astronomy"???

Royal Astronomy is probably ziq's most un-good album. Check out Tango 'n' Vectif, for sure.

 

Also you'd probably like Kettel

Outputmessage's Nebulae is a great melodic album. A lot of other stuff on the Ghostly label is good too, check out the Idol Tryouts comps to get a feel for the sound.

 

Also worth a listen is the vastly underrated Tstewart (aka Machine Drum) album Living Exponentially - great melodies and textures throughout.

 

Plaid and Bola are definitely favorites of mine, a lot of the other artists already mentioned are good too.
