Hoodie Posted August 20, 2009 Share Posted August 20, 2009 yeah, this definitely looks like a disney movie. the first thing i thought when i saw the "aliens" was cat people. what an unoriginal design. i'd venture to say that very few aliens out there have humanoid forms, so why to movies constantly portray this? at least district 9 made the aliens insect-like (though bipedal). and the dude turning into a fuzzy cat guy and falling in love with the cat chick... this is gonna spawn so much furry porn. His main inspiration behind the alien design was for you to be attracted to the female alien. Is it someone you could fuck? not even joking. Which makes sense for story purposes if the story is indeed engrossing. Other reason was for their eyes to be so far apart it couldnt possibly be accomplished with makeup. With tools like near photorealistic CGI available you would expect somebody to come up with a really ambitious abstract and very uniquely ALIEN creature design in a movie, i haven't seen it yet.
