One part of character creation was kind of goofy. You answer questions and it dishes out skills. Didn't get want I wanted, but you can reset.

I saved when I first got into the world then unloaded a clip into the first animal I saw to get a feel for things. Nigga jumped through a house and poked his clipping head back out through the wall, then some guy working the land a bit of a distance away ran over and started shooting at me. If you want a magnum and some other stuff, just rile that guy up.

I've found three stations plus a side quest specific broadcast, that is I have 3 music stations in total plus the temp broadcast. I thought there might be some unfolding news stories as you go through the game but the guy seems to announce the same plot related update, maybe there'll be some more as bigger things happen? I was reluctant to turn the radio off in case I did miss something, don't think that'll happen though, so I'm just enjoying the game's atmospheric music for now.

I'm gonna play this properly tonight. I gave it a go last night, shot one of those bull things and the town went ballistic at me so I got shot to shit (Hardcore mode)

I'm gonna play Hardcore properly... Anyone else?

im curious about hardcore mode, but i thought i'd do my first playthrough on normal and make sure i actually like the game enough to play it in hardcore mode. i've played for the past two days now (reached new vegas strip last night) and so far i love it. also spent waaay more time at the slot machines, black jack and roulette tables than i thought i would.

Yeah, I'm gonna play it on normal mode first too. After I beat the game I'm gonna start a new one and play it on hardcore. I'd like to know what I'm doing when playing it on hardcore.

Try and do Cass' quests early on in the game otherwise you'll get lots of conversations with poor continuity, items not spawning in the place they should and a probably unsolvable quest. Argh.

the quest structure seems a bit messy, right now i've got 3 different quests all telling me to kill mr.

house

did anyone score a jackpot yet? i've been sitting like a zombie in front of these damn slot machines for probably about an hour now, and nothing.

the roulette is where the easy money's at, 21k caps woot.

Whats your luck at? I set mine to 9 cuz I hear it really helps your chances in the casinos. Being a game set in Vegas I figured it was a good idea.

always bet 200 on random numbers. every win is 7k caps (i've only won twice though). save your game before you go in and just keep at it. once in a while the casino

will reward you for spending money there, one of them gave me this and a drink. :emotawesomepm9:

eventually you'll get banned from the casino for winning too much.

So, I just can't understand Caravan. I read the rules, didn't make any more sense. Started the game to see if playing it would make more sense but nope... Surely it would have made more sense to have a tutorial game of caravan. Is it simple and I'm just not getting it? I felt like a right craig anderson staring at the cards thinking "WHAT!?"

It's no triple triad, that's for sure.
