one of my personal favorites. i've always thought this had a 80's fantasy movie feel to it

Probably my favorite piece of music from any game ever!

This is probably one of the main reasons I make music. Best video game soundtrack, as well as the best video game ever.

Suikoden I and II also have bitchin' soundtracks, but a lot of it is just rearranged pieces that already exist.

rygar.

also, when i played a lot of duke nukem 3D, i was listening to MBM's subliminal sandwich and orb's ultraworld all the time. also, i bought sim city 2000 and i care because you do on the same day, so those go hand in hand as well. feed me weird things goes with star fox. lots of other stuff like that. lots if suicideininstallments releases go with halo PC.

one of the first games i played back then on the c64... and still one of my favourite tunes. the orchester-version sounds even a bit aphex-like imho...

(though thats probably just me)

i miss the old times... :music:

I enjoyed this! I love hearing orchestral versions of VGM!

Here are three great orchestral versions of the Zelda theme. The first is very John Williams-y, the second seems to be an orchestral arrangement of a string quartet Zelda medley that was floating about from some Zelda soundtrack release, and the third is another John Williams-y arrangement that includes themes from Link's Awakening:
