what do you guys think?

will any members, mainly UK, use this site?

I love it!!

People submit their designs and they get voted on the site. Is that how threadless works?

its annoying the way threadless discruminates against people without credit cards so this looks handy/good. the site is pretty much a 100% rip of threadless though... it would've been nice to see something a little different. maybe a B3TA vibe.

nah... not for me. i've been doing the "plain black tee" thing lately. i've been getting 3 to a pack calvin klien v necks and slash necks and the ones that snap buttons to your chest and you leave it open. i went to ross the other day and bought all the white ones they had on the rack so i can silk screen them later.

They really ought to provide more detailed pictures of their shirts.

Can hardly tell what's actually going on the more complex ones.

Other than that some of the designs look alright....

£12 ain't that bad either.

I used to love threadless but man did they rape you in the butt if you were in the UK. Customs charge + shipping = :(

threadless is proof that democracy sucks sometimes.

first couple years of its existence, it was a haven for great graphic designers just messing around and voting for each other's designs. Now it's popular with the unaesthetic masses and any piece of shit with an emo girl wandering in a forest gets printed for some reason.

Hey everyone... I'm actually the person who made Boomtique along with hubby Tom. Really appreciate this feedback. We only made the site in one day because we work full time and also run an online magazine called Creative Boom. Phew!

It's starting very small because of our limited budget. I so wish we could make more tees and make it even better. But it's one of those things.

I've taken your feedback on board and totally agree. We're seeing it as a work-in-progress and will continue to make improvements as we go along.

In fact, we've just done a few this evening. And Tom's gonna sort the Vote page so it's loads, loads better.

Macca - I've added the original artwork alongside the products - is that better? :) I hope it's a lot clearer anyways.

Thanks Sala for saying you like it. Really chuffed :D

And nice to meet you all. I'm new to these forums and will be sticking around

need help?: yeah, get me a fucking job so i can afford to buy your cool t-shirts.

Haha! Love it! Well, we haven't got any jobs at the moment... But we might have in future? Fingers crossed? :D

If you make a design that they use do you get moneys?

Yep! A hundred squid. Again, wish it was more. But we've had to invest a chunk of money out of our own pockets to start this. If it takes off, we'll up the prize value accordingly. :D

Aww thanks so much! I've actually just posted your t-shirts this lunchtime. Nipped out to my local post office and sorted 1st Class Recorded Delivery. Should be with you tomorrow or Wednesday.

Really hope you like them.

Like I said.. I don't claim to be a genius and it's only me running the shop to be honest. Had a pretty sleepless night on Friday before the launch. It was a bit nerve-wracking coz it's a new thing we're trying and we're not sure if it's gonna work.

I guess I've always loved Threadless but didn't appreciate the shipping costs. I've been waiting for someone in the UK to start something similar but they always seem to charge between £15-£25 and I think that's WAY too much for a tee. It's greedy if anything.

Will see how it goes anyway - it came about from Creative Boom. This magazine I run in my spare time. It's gotten pretty big over the past eight months. You should check it out if you're in the creative industries. :D

Nom nom nom!
