except seeing them in 1998

i actually enjoyed the lateralus tour the most, though its hard to be third eye.

hopefully they throw in a new jam or 2 and a cover. they cant possible do the same set they have been doing fo almost 5 years now. i wish they would switch it up a lot more

Except seeing them in 1994 w/Rage Against the Machine (and Maynard joining them on stage for that track he sings on their debut).

i was the guy on opiate who got thrown out (that bob marley wannabe mofo)

so suck it.

but lateralus was their best all around tour as far as visuals and music go, imo.

going to see them in Austin and possibly Houston too. Looking forward too it. I didn't see them on the last tour but from the clips i've seen on youtube it looks like they are in much better form these days than they were on the later 10,000 days tours where maynards voice was all out of whack. He'll still never sing like he used to be able to, as far as screaming/yelling goes, but he still does the pretty parts perfectly.

Also "46 & 2 is 48". What a terribly awkward way to end one of their best songs now.

got my denver tickets. wonder if by any chance this tour is preceding a new album

According to my friend that lives in Los Angeles, A Perfect Circle is has been and is on and off recording in a studio right near her work there. So I would hope that would just mean he's being productive and that Tool has been recording too.

Undertow is supremely boring. Lateralus was the best album and tour. Plus they did play Third Eye on the first wing of Lateralus so double win

You are wrong Greg. Undertow is blissful and wonderful. Filled with great compositions and plenty of complex toolery. It may sound more straight forward than other tool albums, but it's spectacular. 4 degrees warmer.

It doesn't bother me that it's more straight-forward, it's just more bland and more angry with less of the ridiculously good songs that made up 90% Lateralus and 75% of Aenima.

Ænima is without a doubt their best record, they will never top it. Lateralus is amazing as well but doesn't have the fire that record has under its ass. Ænima is so wicked raw, dynamic, beautiful, fucked up, ambitiously brave in its artistic integrity, timeless, magical, primal etc.

Maynard talking about Tool, APC, praising Canada and hating on my hometown lol
