however, i heard this song on the radio once, and had to track it down and buy the album. i would suggest you do too!

They're from Chicago...the album is unique. There's even some electronic elements in it...

Let me know if anyone likes it/this song/picks it up.

Yeah I like Indian. A friend introduced me to their stuff a month or so ago, he thinks they're the best shit going at the moment.

does anyone know of bands in this genre without vocals?

which one of these genres? pick one and we can tell you.

i'm interested in doom, sludge, drone, all of that, but for now, because of the topic, just doom i guess.

i like earth...

Some of Nadja's songs are instrumental. And the vocals aren't really in your face to begin with.

How about Bongripper

The first track is a slowly building, droney intro type of track, skip it if you don't care for that sort of music (i'm lovin' it)

Abuse, thank you, that second Bongripper track is right along my interests, I'll have to get that album.

Also, I like that Ufomammut track regardless of the vocals.

I also have no idea why I haven't picked up that Electric Wizard album yet, I've been hearing about it since I was first interested in this genre.

Yay! I recommend Hippie Killer and Hate Ashbury from Bongripper. Heroin is also ok but it's more "experimental" noise/drone shit.

Ufomammut is great. Although i prefer instrumental music, I like the sound of their vocalist. They've also released this thing called Supernaturals Record One in collaboration with the band Lento, as far as i remember it was instrumental and pretty good, you might want to check that out!
