BCM Posted October 24, 2012 Share Posted October 24, 2012 it's just like every event ever held at the NEC - a big market with stalls and traders selling a load of crap you wouldn't want, apart from for a present for someone you don't like. it's the same load of crap whichever event it is - ideal home, gadget show live, motor show, top gear - same stalls, same cheap crap made in china. there is always one of those rides that look like a star trek shuttlecraft on a stick, which you sit in and watch a low-quality video of someone skiing down a hill whilst the shuttlecraft moves around a bit. if you're lucky there might be some cars. Posted October 25, 2012 Share Posted October 25, 2012 i hate top gear. the guys are boring and i couldnt care less about the shitty cars they show and talk about. and the once and awhile kinda cool sports car isn't enough for me to watch repetitively. its more like a show for people who know nothing about cars so they can pretend like they know something about cars. i d/l the shows, so whenever they go on one of their contrived competitive missions, like lets beat the 18:00 steam train to glasgow using only hot air balloons and white water rafting, i can blast past. I usually don't watch star in a reasonably priced car, because who cares what actors have to say about anything. It really declined ratings wise until the big format change in the mid-2000s, it then became a really popular mainstream show here for a few years but has slowly started to decline again.
