Most sources are license-free, cropped & mirrored images from the internet (talking about TH only). 1st method: Reverse image search with google, yandex or tineye. Trying to enhance & un-mirror them with photoshop can help. 2nd method: Search on public domain repositories, mostly wiki commons. On google, type like this "site:https://commons.wikimedia.org/ keyword", add filters, only check for images uploaded before the album release. Also try online archives like Library of Congress or National archives. 3rd method: Luck. Identify elements in the image, find similar looking pictures too. yandex is the best for this.
