Bronies Documentary

I thought this was fascinating, it really examines the sexual roles we force on children as a society, when a lot of them have no sexual identity yet. Yes, there are probably some LGBT people into this as a way to escape persecution and bullying they receive in their every day lives, but most are just lonely and out of place teens looking for something to belong to. (better this than Juggalos right?) I thought it was sweet how they come together to support each other, and welcome the traditional female fans of the franchise as well. John De Lancie is great, narrating, singing, and doing some interviews.

yes, I see one perv has gone viral with his fetish, but every genre of everything has pervs, this site is no different.

edit: for anyone who doesn't want to click, it's a porn subreddit dedicated to the characters of my little pony and there are 10,000 subscribers.

and this is just on reddit.

I'm gonna fuck a pony in the ass just to piss you all off.

i'm sure the majority of people would be disgusted, not pissed off. it's not good to be angry at people for their mental illnesses.

You already are.

The point of this thread was to test the waters to see if it was okay to come out as a brony/pony fucker, you probably wanted to change your avatar to one of those fucking pony but thought "is this acceptable here"

that's a vaguely chauvinistic understanding of gender

the key point of such decadent extremes of nerdiness is hardly gender politics anyway

lonely and out of place teens should work harder on their loneliness because radical things can come out of there, rather than waste their time with feel-good decadence, be it cool bro parties or nerdy brony conventions. the added pathos that they feel like they're going against the flow and that that's worth anything just makes it more disgusting, because in the end, structurally, what they do is the same thing frat jocks do (of course this means the libidinal undercurrent of bronycon, even if this libidinal undercurrent was 10000 ponyfuckers in a room, isn't really anything out of the ordinary, but being "normal" or "accepted" is not a positive thing by itself. i'm tempted to follow the libidinal undercurrent tangent to godwin's law territory but i'll leave it at that.)

I thought this post on nerdiness and hipsterism as two modes of affective involvement with consumption was not too bad, even though it's not something i'd sign. actually it is kind of bad, fuck that guy.

I always thought a brony was bro + crony, until I went on Urbandictionary just now and felt like a dumbass.

I also encountered bronies in Seattle a year ago at a bubble tea shop.

One more thing - the Reelism mod for Doom has bronies in it. No joke.
