  1. I am really enjoying the new season, that surprisingly got off to a slow start. The most recent episode especially has done an excellent job of telling the story from the hosts' perspective. Looks like the next one will finally fill in the missing pieces of William (aka The Man in Black) and his connection to the park and the Delos family and why he's doing what he's doing.
  2. I couldn't see them reverting to single-player gameplay after the Souls and Bloodborne series, so it is likely this is as well.
  3. Also non-VR for the sheeple that didn't jump on that bandwagon - this might be the best version of Tetris yet (at least visually) since the ARIKA Tetris: The Grandmaster series of arcade games.
  4. Winners! That bobcat fucking kills me every time
  5. genius and fuck that cat too that's a cute bird and cat D'AAAAAAAWWWW!
  6. Yes, Ikaruga is excellent - and I imagine on Switch since you can use the screen vertically (in TATE mode) you get the arcade experience (I had to portrait-mount my PC monitor to play the Steam version properly) Fucking beautiful. Now you just need this bad boi to cement the arcade experience: Is it worth the premium? I'd say yes if you are heavily into fighters (on the Switch) or just want a solid arcade stick. I'm not sure if you can get a cheaper stick for the Switch, but after trying to play Metal Slug XX on PS4 with a control pad (yuk) I had to bust out my stick for MSXX to feel "right".
  7. I had a nice 0PN refresher last night via Apple Music... damn this guy makes some great music!

  9. Which was doo-doo (IMO). I actually liked the first Trek reboot movie (although I felt the villain looked like Corey Feldman), and then 2 and 3 were letdowns and fell into the old Trek movie tropes.

  11. Yeah well, at least better than that earlier teaser... Really not into the art style but in terms of new game mechanics it looks intriguing alright! I think the art style is growing on me... had they done another pixel-based 8-bit version like 9 and 10, I think it would be a bit too repetitive and not attempted to bring the series forward. That boss battle with the fast-moving guy (plus the new gameplay mechanics like you mentioned) looks really interesting! I have a gut feeling it will end up being Bloodborne 2, which is not a bad thing at all...
  12. Motherfucking Pokemon mainline games for Switch! Megaman 11 looking good - Shows how terrible Mighty No. 9 really was: Metal Slug XX! And it's OUT NOW!
  13. they look like a band And Death Stranding would be a good name for it
  14. People still see things in 3D? sometimes i forget the movie might be in 3d and i just buy a ticket and get angry afterwards, and sometimes you cant even choose between 2 and 3 d . Really? Here in the States, we typically have the choice between: 2D IMAX 3D IMAX Dolby Cinema (nice reclinable seats and a premium sound system) Regular Showing (standard digital projection) Of course, the prices vary between 10.00USD per ticket up to 15.00+ for IMAX/Dolby Cinema...
  15. I bought it last weekend but I'm working out of town all week. I read a lot of complaints that you can't see the whole map while playing and it was annoying as heck. Did you find that to be a problem? Yes; unlike the first one, you can't see the entire map - it shows indicators where items and enemies are (you really need to pay attention on the more advanced maps where enemies come in from multiple totem points, sometimes not even those (e.g., enemies floating in on balloons)). I can see where some might find that annoying - I personally find it challenging since knowing the map is part of the strategy element of this series I enjoy so much. Each level gives you a "walkthough" of sorts that shows you the potential path the enemies will take, and at the same time you will notice other totem entry points, etc.
  16. Been playing PixelJunk Monsters 2 - just like the original, and just as fun. Tower Defence at it's best!
  17. Castlevania fans rejoice, as an 8-bit successor to the series comes out tomorrow!
  18. AFAIK, I think Richard pretty much has the say in what tracks go up here - probably why updates are few and far between, since he's guiding this process.
  19. That was Premiere Magazine misquoting Kennedy... there isn't a Lando movie planned.
  20. no haven't seen any news on pricing. personally, i can't understand why they went with a mini arcade cabinet instead of the mini neogeo console Maybe they thought people would think it was that crappy NEO·GEO X "console" Tommo release a few years ago?
