  1. if you saw that film in theaters then you just help them earn their money back which means they will work again on something similar: like jay z is already producing a remake of annie

  3. 'blurred and suffering with tears' is 380gb 'like a wall in which an insect lives and gnaws' is 3.9tb both as 192kb mp3 they also have a song titled '287n' which is 87,708,958,333,333hrs 20min (87 trillion hrs or just under 10 years) and 1.3zettabytes. i think that's currently their longest track

  5. charles ramsey is a real dude speaking real shit. check how he keeps it one hundred with anderson cooper
  6. madlib's ventures off and attempts to cover a wide spectrum of jazz music styles- all seem to focus on beat (not even one grand or upright piano driven song?) and hammond organ with heavy bass treatment- you know what that means right? they all sound a little too similar despite setting out to sound different (with exception to 'slave riot' by the young jazz rebels) madlib expands his fictitious jazz universe with more outfits that help elaborate the whole sound direction type style of playing live instruments and blurring the lines betwix one man band sound and collaboration thing (listen to the two songs by the jahari massaba unit for comparison). the linear notes are peppered with hints of a few of these outfits' independent records which i gather are more about resurrecting damaged memories of a record collectors fetish of lusting over possible treasures rather than an accurate index. the music is good but the dress is better
  7. Ask yourself one question. Who heard it? mike sandison and marcus eoin
  8. the earth is being invaded by martians (and their hot dames) but they make one terrible mistake: they decide to start with mexico. bad idea guys, coz that's ground zero for santo (slaughterer of martians, monsters, vampire women etc.) a royal ass-whopping (the likes you've likely never seen) is swiftly delivered against these moronic aliens. their women are spared the violence though.
  9. this film is based on a true story about how new york shitty became the hell hole it is today- run by a marauding band of good for nothings known as riders prospecting the land in search of victims. crazy good and a remarkably accurate account of the future
  10. i checked that and it doesn't feature any screen queens so i'm gonna bypass.
  11. this is exactly the reason i haven't watched this movie despite really wanting to see it. i just can't see the reason for making a film that long (especially nowadays) but especially more so when it's tarantino whose pretty much doing nothing more than rehashing other films. awesome film that's kinda like an unofficial sequel to slumber party massacre with robyn harris. slurp!

  14. acid- mysterons invade the jackin' zone: chicago acid and experimental house 1986-1993: hey look. the guys at soul jazz records have put out another massive compilation of (more) jackin' chicago house music (check their first one here) yep, it's crazy good, but not like super good. ghostface killah's twelve reasons to die: nice beats(?) but boring execution.
  15. i just watched (almost) all the jean rollin films on fast forward. basically: plodding artsy-eurotrash vampire films (about 70% of them), one teen(age) hitchhiker exploitation feature and some softcore horror stuff that can't decide whether it's horror or porn. actually, none of his films can decide whether they're horror or porn. all the dames are luscious au-naturale european hotties with soft supple rear-ends and generous child bearing hips that can't act any more than the director can direct. i seem to remember susan george being very attractive. i was wrong. rosie marcel however is, but that's today, not when this was made. fiddlesticks
  16. convoluted storyline dressed over rotoscoped animation stetched to 1.5hrs that feels more like 8hrs. this isn't a film but rather a portfolio of how well frank frazetta could draw and how good bakshi could animate.
  17. ^^ do you think a film with tom cruise has any enjoyment to be had? a badly made documentary about the culture of making hiphop beats from mined records aka crate diggin'. ends up being just over an hour of guys talking into the camera about the same thing and beyond sloppy camera work with 0 research or effort given also, everyone interviewed has a very high opinion of themselves
