  1. Came here from the Aphex Collapse thread! (Just visiting)
  2. Lol well I had my music on several of their episodes (incl a particular spot that Kanye was on showing off his new watch to Scott I think, totally surreal)... I wonder if it was one of those episodes you watched... if so, Im honored to have provided the bed music to your jerk off sesh ??️?
  3. Nice man, that must have been so exciting... I remember downloading essential mixes from deep dish and portishead off of limewire / kazaa and being totally and utterly floored. Such great stuff.
  4. Thx brother appreciate it! And man massive mix, good stuff.
  5. omg did i actually sing on this one? i guess i did, what was i thinking?? at least the extreme melodyne saved me a bit haha
  6. Godfuck i want it now. Soooo....? This means im getting my treat early? Redditguy ordered on amazon, Omfg, that looks tasty as hell! I love the orange, really a perfect choice coming from the white, black, blue of recent Aphex cover art... Also kinda fits the vibes of the single and from the way people have described the rest of the ep from what they've heard. You guys are hilarious with the leaks... Just wait it out! Lol
  7. Agreed... I wonder how good he felt putting out that SoundCloud dump. Being someone that has a fuckton of un-finished ideas and many mostly finished tracks in my studio, I can imagine just how much of a release (no pun intended) it would be to feel some sort of completion with all of that work of his, especially considering the majority of them are pretty damn polished and we're totally ready for a release!
  8. Ah ok, yeah from a macrolevel, the next generations will probably not find packaging for music necessary agreed lol
  9. Digitizing media and functions that serve no emotional or artistic purpose makes sense. But clearly there's a desire and priority for music to remain as a physical format, which explains the new adoption and growing reissues of vinyl and tape. I predict the same will occur with CDs in the near future. To me and countless others, the physical format of a music release has value far beyond simply being a medium to store the data.
  10. May as well throw all "physical" paintings, sculptures, and other art that can be reproduced digitally away too. Hey movie theaters don't need to be built any longer, let's save the building materials for... more chipboards, sensors and data centers? ? If digital-everything is the way of the future, then god help us.
  11. Agreed! I like some of his material quite a bit, and got really hyped up on a particular track for it's its ability to perfectly encapsulate certain 90s motifs and progressions... Somewhere between INXS, The Smiths, and Type 0 Negative.
  12. Miss this thread and the community, been so busy lately with this new job I haven't had much online time :/ I listened to some ライフMIDI today and it hit the fuckin spot. It's funny how you can be nostlagic for vaporwave music which is about being nostalgic for the sample sources. Double the meta, double the flavor. It's an experience like no other, kind of cathartic brain massage. https://swampcircle.bandcamp.com/album/virtual-reality-97-platinum-edition
  13. How cool would it be if someone could publicly confront the shitbag and ask him frankly like human-to-human, "dude, what the fuck is the matter with you? You realize you are a lying mentally unstable sicko, right? You realize you are a narcissist in need of serious emotional and psychological help from a professional? You see how you're a fucking bully, right? Like you're not blind, or deaf. You know the lies and manipulation you're you're peddlingg, right? You do realize half the country fucking hates your guts... Do you get off on being hated/despised? What kind of fucking scumbag are you to behave like this, for real?"
  14. I may just have to give in now after reading the last few pages. Fuuck. Let's see how the end of this week pans out.
  15. So this is Span's fav since Rushup edge... Anyone else whose heard the EP feel like this a new favorite so far? I'm so got dayum hyped it's unreal.
  16. I am master of mine (besides T69 Collapse I listened to like once for the video!) I've been listening only to T69 collapse on repeat in 2116 but not the others until sept 14 am I still in the game, master of my domain? :) Me too... I plan on straight T69ing myself until I fucking Collapse.
  17. GODDDAYUM hearing about what Collapse sounds like is making me hard/wet. But I think I'll still wait like a good little Weakling Child / Girl/Boy. Ugh, I can't stand when people go on at length talking about footwork as if it's some sort of enigmatic phenomenon. From what I've heard of it, the stuff lumped under the phrase is just an eclectic fusion of hip hop, jungle and bass/electro with maybe some jazzy elements. What's the big deal? Some of it's cool I guess here and there, but way overhyped imo. Also, lol @ the thought of RDJ consciously deciding to be "footwork-influenced" or something when he made this, when he quite literally was responsible for X number of silly niche genres that have spawned out of a number of scenes. Don't get me wrong, all music, all styles, all good, love it all, but fuck.
  18. Not to be pretentious but Aphex like this is what I've been waiting for since like.. I don't know... Smojface EP. There's a spirit that feels like it's returned here, of course in a new light, Syro, Orphans, Cheetah, are amazing but didn't satisfy that headfuck element that some of his earlier stuff has. This does- while still being musical and smooth. An excellent fusion of styles. Only listened once and I can tell it's gonna get better with each listen.
  19. It's a fun one for sure, really exciting and playful track. Glad he's bringing a new flavor here. :) Very excited to hear the rest of it and I have a feeling it will be filled with some really great stuff. Definitely ambitious and far from freeform modular knob turning. :) In many ways, it's just what we needed... Some quirky not-afraid-to-be-accessible stuff with some attitude and a focus on musical structures and simplicity.
  20. This is the first thing I thought of. Putin is trying to capitalize on the corruption of our political system, and found another scumbag celebrity of ours to insert and involve in US - Russia relations. It's totally gotta be intentional and it makes perfect sense.
