    Cheetah EP

Drum pattern in 2X202 sounds like the one at 2:39 in Windowlicker, hihat's and all. However listening back to Windowlicker does remind me that this stuff isn't on the same level as his late 90s stuff, sounds like some really nice bangers but I'm more excited for whats next.

Stop it Warp, you're killing me over here. So cheeky.
  3. nice lol Haha Rich knows his references, top kek 2 MORE SYRO TRACKS! Super lush, can't wait to hear.
  4. Great job! Can I put the MIDI file on my site www.midm-database.co.uk? You will get credit and a link to your Soundcloud of course. :)
  5. wait i'm baffled. i'm still only seeing the 10 tracks that were there earlier today ? Guys, it's country specific, people in certain countries can see the tracks, people in countries that the tracks aren't available for cannot see the tracks on his profile in any way, even though it says 96 Tracks. Seems to be causing a lot of confusion.
  6. The one silver lining to the Soundcloud ending is that he's now probably 100% focused on making new music.
  7. Bahahaha brilliant I just ordered my GF this Chicli Suite Pencil Skirt, do you guys think she will like it?
  8. Rearrange it to make SORY all other music is now so boring!
  9. I'll give you that it lacks emotion compared to works like ICBYD and RDJ, but it sure makes up for it in terms of textures, interesting melodies, amazing subtle details and sound design. On most days the massive synths in produk, the booming kick drums in Minipops and the hyperactive saw waves in Circlont + u473t8 are much more inviting to listen to than his other stuff, but yeah that other stuff does use those pads and strings to hit you in the feels more-often. However, I think you missed out another great moment of emotion: 3:00 onwards on 4 bit. Damn that is standout, very simple but very hitting.
  10. It already was pressed on vinyl by Grant probably somewhere in the early 00's, but Squarepusher was very opposed to releasing it. That's what Philie-T said in this thread (an insider) a while ago (as well as confirming it's a track by Squarepusher). I'm still leaving the option open of it being a collab because at one point Aphex said it's earmarked for release, but yeah, Squarepusher. Btw, Cylob played two other tracks of that exact acid white label too, in this set from 2003: http://www.percussionlab.com/sets/cylob/live_on_kando_fm_2003 If I recall correctly, Squarepusher played all three (!) tracks at the Warp20 gig, a gig he announced as him digging through his old unreleased tracks archive. He even segways one of those Cylob acid white label tracks into the "Sonar" track. And I know about the yes & no post Aphex made on soundcloud regarding that thread, but everyone interprets that completely different so it's pretty much a useless statement. #TeamSquarepusher That acid line to me has some pure Aphex magic to it. #TeamCollab
  11. And when you thought you had heard all of his crazy antics.... Top kek
  12. I've only been a fan for 2 years but this silence is deafening, absolutely am going mad with the lack of new music or activity from James, as we've all been so spoiled over the last 2 years. I know have a new respect for anyone who had to patiently wait 13 years for Syro, this hiatus is nothing compared to that haha!
  13. I don't think it matters how well it was received, I'm sure Rich didn't care much about that and did it as one album as a creative decision. Also, I think that it works best like that, the quieter more chilled out vignettes provide a nice break from the drill'n'bass tracks, especially on the second disk which is full of those long ones. Yeah, it just boggles my mind how much talent and focus he must have had to be able to sit down with hundreds of well chosen samples and sequence them in a certain order to create 54 Cymru Beats, a track full of darkness and amazing chaotic energy. An unbelievable feat.

  15. Would be great to see more of that type of discussion. Working out melodies/notes in RDJ's music is both interesting and satisfying, I'll have some more to post at the end of the week. was this already posted? http://www.midm-database.co.uk/drukqs.html Rofl yeah that's my site, I'm sure many people here have scoured it and it will updated when I can finalize some MIDI's that I'm working on, namely MFM 10, Ziggomatic 17 (6th minute) and Every Day, as well as a few bits and bobs from Tuss and Syro (very exciting), and/or get sent some from other people. Needs a visual upgrade as well haha. Check back when you can, I usually make a post if I add something new on here or Reddit. :)

  17. My Melodyne analysis sure does support that, but it would take someone with a much better ear than me to work it out.
  18. Looks good, can't tell exactly what I am looking at though.
  19. Not far off, got that 6th minute down. *winks* EDIT: If you haven't already got all the existing MIDI's, head over to http://www.midm-database.co.uk/drukqs.html.
  20. LADS, for a second he had up every single .MP3 on his computer aswell as all of his DATs. Shame you lot missed it, Ziggomatic18, Windowlicker (Syro Mix) and Computer Controlled Drukqs outtakes were the highlight of this bunch!
  21. Anyone else notice an absolutely sublime bit in Mt Saint Michels at a section change around 3 minutes? Obviously the main descending bassline has been established but around 3:15 the third note goes back up again and then when the drums kick in, it gets really intricately hidden into the background while being quickly transformed into these really subtle and quiet pads that sit perfectly behind the main melody, just mind blowing stuff. Try to catch that bassline's journey after the drums come in, really adds a lot onto the track. Just adds more onto the reasons that this album is a masterpiece, moments like this where Rich has carefully and consciously crafted such quiet, intricate details, take years to spot and only seconds to enjoy, but really puts his music above everyone elses.
  22. Really nice job, you nailed it! I saw it was a little slow compared to the original track so I sped it up to the original BPM, do I have permission to host it on my MIDI repository? Full credit to you of course, just provide me a link to one of your accounts on the interwebs and I'll be on my way. 139BPM: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/24438426/MIDI%20FILES/Soundcloud/28%20organ/organ28%5Bwatmm-skeletron%5D.mid
  23. Can't wait that long, sorry! xD https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/24438426/MIDI%20FILES/Drukqs/cockver10.mid Think that's all right, I went a bit overboard with doubling up octaves for added effect, but it's pretty much the best 8 bars squashed into 4, take of it what you will. If you want to make it longer, or work out more of the instruments that I'm sure are there, that would be awesome. Still am left speechless by this utterly simple beauty and emotion before me, would take me days to think of something that is a hundredth as effective, and never as simply brilliant. Rich, more so Drukqs, is one of a kind.
  24. Wait till you get to 1:26 - 1:40, absolutely stunning interweaving melodies, the track is full of them. I tried to work that bit out last week but failed miserably, hope you can do it and share it with the rest of us. If anyone still hasn't got Zolt's (Reddit MIDI guy) go at the song, he's put some sections down perfectly, you can find it here: http://www.midm-database.co.uk/sc.html, but I am sure that Scarb0s attempt will blow it out of the water, you sure did an amazing job with Ziggomatic. On that matter, can I request a cheeky Cock/Ver10? Around 1:20 on that track it's just beauty without words. :)
  25. Dunno if I'm getting your question right here but that docsheet (see jejunum's post) has quite nice side notes section where are plenty of notes about those similarities. Here are few from the top of my mind, alas quite obvious and somewhat subtle ones afx origTheme and Spectrum -> UT1-Dot P-string -> Quoth(s) Original Chaos Riff-> Cuckoo beginning of Mooow -> Phloam (ok, this is quite IMO) bob Morgan'n Robocop samples -> Green calx Does anyone else hear a pretty heavy similarity between the main synthline at 5:25 in Cheetah 3 and the synth in the background at around 4:12 to 4:21 of umil-25? Sounds rather the same to me.
