  1. considering how badly FACTMAG messed up the facts regarding the Caustic Window kickstarter, I think I'll take anything they say with a pinch of salt. For example - those are not official updates, and are coming from cast members.

  3. I've not messed around with that feature on my phone yet, I've not really found a location that seems interesting enough to use it with. That's a cool one though!
  4. aww thanksi shoot with an old sony dsc-h5 i've had since i was 15. the lens cover is missing & i walk around with it all day, so there's always bits of dust & gunk smeared on the lens (the fountain shot is blurry around the edges because the night before i'd fished an old ice cream cone out of the trash & it dripped all over the place). I also generally save as gifs with 32 colours or less, and various contrast/colour correction effects. I like the way the digital & analogue distortions work together to smear the photo down into a vague approximation of real life oh yeah and the shutter button's missing so i take photos by jamming a thumbtack into the hole (nice pics everyone btw, i tend not to comment on individuals tho because this thread loads hella slow for me) I like how you get the grids showing up as artefacts of the giffification. it's all very neuromancer, at least to me anyway.
  5. totally gonna cross post from the pics you're pleased with thread
  6. Indeed, I use VSCO Film in Lightroom, and (when I have my phone around, currently I don't thanks to Motorola) VSCO Cam. yeah, I'm one of those hipster types that fakes the film look. But I do love the VSCO filters.
  7. very nice, especially like the upwards shot at the sky, with the buildings. I'm a sky whore.
  8. Cryptowen, what do you do to your pics? and what're you snapping with? your pics always look awesome.
  9. Berk, I think you need to post more. In fact, everyone needs to post more of their awesome pictures. just like I'm doing now DSCF0925-1 by oscillik, on Flickr DSCF0914-2 by oscillik, on Flickr almost n-n-n-n-nineteen by oscillik, on Flickr

  12. someone please stop me looking at Leica equipment
  13. looks very painterly, nice! that last one there, I would be totally tempted to put it all in black and white except for the traffic cone. VLC in the wild.

where the fuck is that Beautiful Noise documentary that was supposed to be out like, 4 years ago?? :(
  15. yeah, this is my first 'proper' camera - my only photography experience has been with my phone cameras. Indeed, I started the thread and I've been posting periodically with my phone camera pics, but this X100T has definitely kicked it up a notch. really nice shots! all very tasty, this one especially stood out for me keep it up! this one was taken during the sunset last week as I passed over the Widnes/Runcorn bridge
  16. thanks again guys, really do appreciate all your positive comments! baph - I've no frame of reference to go by, other than comparing my X100T to the countless smartphones I've been using prior. But this thing kicks the shit out of any smartphone camera. The only general gripe there seems to be with Fujifilm cameras is the menu system. I can attest to it being a bit finicky, also the Q-Menu profiles (supposed to be like setting snapshots) doesn't really work as I would like it to, so I just don't bother using it.
  17. Wipeout Pure, I think. Naks Acid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZCX7A4NqHo

  19. Yeah it's still an enjoyable game, it must be since I'm still playing it and I haven't just stopped playing, which I did with Bioshock. I guess my expectations were just set a bit higher than reality, probably. definitely feel this way about the game, however I think that the NPCs have been massively improved with regard to the interactive aspect and just how autonomous they are. It looks like a lot more effort was put into that, so in that respect it's already bettered GTA IV. But yeah, I get what you mean about it feeling a bit hollow. It feels a bit flat sometimes. I dunno. Like I said, I clearly don't hate it since I'm still playing it, but sometimes I'm sat there like "Really?"
  20. The story is probably just about to take off... just wait for it... waaaait for it... I dunno, it just seems like more of the same. Drive around, go whack that group of people. go pick up this thing. Oh noes, your daughter is being grinded by Lazlo, go after him. Lose the cops. Admittedly, it does in some cases really blow away GTA IV as far as graphics are concerned, however having played Max Payne 3 on PC, it's not a massive leap in fidelity and stuff....Max Payne 3 was pretty much similar, to the point where sometimes I keep trying to put myself in bullet time mode and do shoot dodges. I know it sounds like I'm complaining, I'm not really. It's just I thought GTA vuh FIVE was meant to be like a massive leap, and it doesn't really feel like it. Of course, I'll still play it though. It's not like it was made by Gearbox or something...
  21. Grand Theft Auto vuh FIVE for pc (check the logo, that's the proper name of the game) gotta say, I'm about 7 hours into the game and it kinda seems like GTA IV but a bit better looking. Maybe I need to run around a bit more, but I'm not finding myself enjoying at more than GTA IV, it's just about equal. I thought biggerer the number, biggerer the fun?
