  1. How long are you able to watch this? I dare you.
  2. So where's the full write-up on all of these - who did make it up? I'd love to do some debunking additional research.
  3. So you mean to say that because 3 + 3 + 3 = 9 and Quaristice is Autechre's 9th album proper, it must mean that the catalog code encodes the album's sequence number? That's as probable to me as Draft 7.30's catalog code 111 being 7 in binary (4x1 + 2x1 + 1x1 = 7) denoting that album's sequence number (I just pulled this out of thin air by going through the catalog codes) - there are no other catalog code patterns that are discernible without pseudonumerological apophenia.
  4. I wasn't aware that these pseudonumerological exercises were a thing with Autechre, too.
  5. Warp EPs have catalog codes starting with WAP, albums start with WARP; Sign is WARP(LP|CD)329 and Plus is WARP(LP|CD)338, so they're albums by catalog code. Ehh, duplicate comment, @AnwarAutokino was faster.
  6. Where's the Japanese edition extra track? n Cur is exquisite, so my expectations are rather high (because Sign/Plus is a masterpiece).
  7. Autechre has done a Malevich sequence - Circle (Oversteps), Black Square (Exai), Cross (Plus Sign).
  8. White House science office takes credit for 'ending' pandemic as infections mount (Politico)
  9. Steven Rutter, formerly of B12, is releasing his third album on December 7th. Riddle Me Sane will hit the shelves via Rutter's own label, FireScope Records. It spans ten tracks, with nods to IDM, techno and downtempo. His last album, StarCrossed, a collaboration with UK vocalist Bryonii, came out earlier this year. Listen to "Going Through Life" from Riddle Me Sane.
  10. Noam Chomsky on the President, the Pandemic, and the Upcoming Election (LitHub) (This could've been posted in the Trump or election threads, too, but I chose this one.)
  11. How to Talk to a Conspiracy Theorist (Gen/Medium) How to Talk to Friends and Family Who Share Conspiracy Theories (NYT [paywalled]) I lack the patience required to entertain such people (as you might have already concluded), but there are probably some who need to manage their social environment more circumspectly.
  12. You haven't presented any arguments supporting your views, whatever they actually are - you're just challenging people to waste their time trying to convince you of things you will never accept, because you've bought into conspiracy theories, dis- and misinformation, hook, line and sinker. You're a troll with nothing scientifically verifiable - and what is worse, falsifiable - to say, so you're goading any and all on so you can keep self-reinforcing whatever it is that you think you know. There is no discussion to be had here, it's not beneficial in any shape or form to try and reason with you, because you're so far gone that accepting anything else than what you think is true would cause massive cognitive dissonance because you've invested so much of your person into unsubstantiated false beliefs. Some might find your schtick amusing and entertaining and thus keep egging you on - I won't. KTHXBAI
  13. Looking forward to this, Lou Karsh is awesome as himself, too.
  14. SIM80 releases are few and far between, but for me, instant purchases. Finest grade electro, highly recommended.
  15. Trump shares unedited footage of him storming out of his 60 Minutes interview early like a baby (AV Club)
  16. I've been following Israel Vines from the get-go, highly recommended; also check out the previous releases on Borrowed Language and Eye Teeth/IT.
  17. DJ Persuasion 88-98 - A History of Hardcore (Tape-Echo)
