    DANK MEMES

Yae, more original content, good on ya. Watmm used to be the one that created the memes once, -sie-. But a lot of those threads that created the memes would push the boundaries to dark places in the search for comedy gold, now they would be locked almost instantly.
  2. I wasn't keen on the end of Splice but I loved the practical effects, that monster thing was fucking creepy.
  3. Monsters: Dark Continent - This was so bad I could only manage 45 minutes of it after OD'ing on army bros, I have no idea what they were thinking. I made it all the way through Battlefield LA so my complete shit tolerance is very high but I was so angry I tried to find the director on twitter to berate him.

Any good? Fairly sure I have a second-hand copy floating around somewhere.
  5. Anyone watched Hyena? Think it might be my Friday night viewing.
  6. Saw Human Centipede 3 last night, the main bloke just shouts throughout, painful to listen to and very dull. When you have seen one human centipede sadly you have seen them all.
  7. Worse than that. I think it's mehness is its greatest offence, how did they make a film where massive dinosaurs eating people is meh?!
  8. This thread is a good way of knowing when a film has leaked. *checks piratebay for unfriended*
  9. http://www.theonion.com/article/fucking-loser-at-movie-all-by-himself-33302 Only joking, I do it occasionally, went to the theatre on my own a couple of months back too. It's cool.
  10. I miss delet speak, what happened with that?

House of Leaves is an amazing book, one of my favs. Not an easy read by any means, but quite worth it. Just take your time with it, the length and challenge of it's structure pays off. I've been meaning to give Only Revolutions, a read for quite some time. His short story The Fifty Year Sword is pretty well done, the artwork incorporated into the book is pretty fantastic. I really tried with Only Revolutions but I am definitely too dumb for it, shame as I loved House of Leaves but hopefully I'll have more luck with The Fifty Year Sword. Annoyingly my bedroom is just a mass of books and I can't find it.

This thread has beaten me into submission and I now find this shit funny, I hope you're happy.
  13. I was really disappointed by this one, the characters in it are ridiculous and undermine everything else. I know Ireland is a bit gimp but fucking hell, what was up with that greasy Chicago bloke?

im on the 2nd. it gets report-ish, and i like it so far :) read the long walk. great book Glad you liked it, finally finished the Bachman books a few days ago and they were all fantastic. Road Work made me really sad, particularly the part where he was shouting at the hitchhiker chick about how pointless it all is, King was definitely in a dark place then. I had to clear my head with something fun after so read Sexcastle, it's as ridiculous as the title.
  15. Creep - xxx's wolfing out tale made flesh. Seriously, which of you fuckers created that film as he is more than entitled to a share of the profits.
  16. Sakura and Grinning Cat are lush, never delved any further and this sad announcement will make me do so, 54 is no age.
  17. I saw this before Di Caprio hit it big and it blew my mind that he didn't have learning difficulties, he's a gifted bloke.
  18. i've wanted to watch this anime since.... forever and never seem to get to it. another one i've wanted to see is wicked city it goes off on this whole Jesus tangent out of nowhere. I'm not against a Jesus tangent in anime, Night on the Galactic Railroad does it well, but this was weird. He falls for a Jesus freak who is so dull and simple it beggars belief but for some reason she is held up as the peak of morality. Despite that it is worth a watch, the ending looks spectacular.

Just finished The Long Walk, don't know why I stayed away from King's Bachman books for so long as this completely kicked my arse. Brutal premise and dusted it off in three days, and he was only 18 when he wrote it. Talented bugger, Roadwork is up next.
  20. Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honnêamise - I copied and pasted the title from wiki, it's not special enough to deserve both bold and italics or anything. Looks beautiful and some pretty funny moments but the plot meanders along and gets a bit tiresome. Also, the main character tries to rape someone but this is quickly forgotten about, just once I'd like to watch some anime without some shit like this in it.
  21. Sorcerer - Fucking badass, all the CGI in the world is nothing next to a jeep travelling across a rickety bridge in the belting rain.
  22. I enjoyed It Follows considerably more than anything Argento has ever done, and I consider myself an expert on the genre. Come at me bros.
  23. Forget the end of Alien 3, the moment when Ripley said "who do I have to fuck to get off this ship?" was when she really died.
