  1. I was getting into everything Warp records and HMV had a sale on where all CD's from them were buy one get one half price, cash was tight but decided to take a punt and bought Incunabula. I didn't have the music choice available to us now so I stuck with it for awhile, took some time to click but when it did I delved further, got LP5 and they totally kicked my arse. Been a fan since. I occasionally wonder how much new music I miss now because of how rarely I give it a chance unlike in the past.
  2. Skyrim, gone full vampire and I can't sneak into anyone's house to suck their blood because wherever I go people go nuts and attack me, I am hated.

I've got "My Idea of Fun" here by Self, haven't finished it yet. It also has some rather long running sentences. At the beginning it felt unwieldy but by the end I was completely absorbed in the style, to the point I felt that it might ruin my reading of other books. No paragraphs, no chapter headings, rare punctuation and switches from character to character and time period to time period without notice or warning. But I loved it, and will definitely get Shark, which I hear is written in a similar style. Have you read any Hubert Selby JR? Sounds similar to his style.

  8. Reading The Wicked and The Divine, fucking love discovering Kieron Gillen again after all these years, he was my favourite reviewer when I was a nerdy teen devouring PC Gamer.

ta for this Mr Tec, not really a graphic novel fan since Arkham Asylum (sp?), but this is heaviness. Its so subtle and visceral at the same time and really bores into subconscious/parental fear buttons with the skill of a psych-surgeon and the imagery/story to underpin it all. Sorted 2 problem xmas-wank presents too. its truly been a benevolent universe today, strewth Ruth & tips cap Awesome, glad to hear it mate.

Yup, picked it up on a recommendation from here actually! Really enjoyed it but breaks my heart that there hasn't been a second volume.

Wytches by Scott Snyder, never been really creeped out by a graphic novel before but this one is doing the business.
  13. I really like it but 40 quid is a piss-take, unless it's signed or something.
  14. Why would you sit on that bench for so long waiting for a creepy fucker without looking about though.
  15. My scooter throttle acts up randomly for about ten minutes whenever I use it, the back light is fucked so I can either have that on or the brake light but never both yet I'm too broke to fix it. I feel like I'm driving a death trap to work, and the weather sucks.
  16. A friend used to work in a bookshop (Borders on Charing Cross Road) and one day a customer was in the ladies toilets and heard a bloke loudly coughing above her. She started screaming and security chucked him out, they found loads of food and a sleeping bag in the roof, seems like he had been there a few weeks.
  17. Opinions are like assholes no! sorry, assholes have a purpose...Hey if money flies out of your ass I'll line up and take a handful Look at the hatred this show creates, it's heartbreaking.
  18. You can't say that without giving us the details, come on man!

  21. I still enjoyed it. Any other good horrors out at the mo? Tried Spring but the brofest in the first ten minutes meant I couldn't go any further.
