  1. Playing "Waking Mars", it's pretty badass: http://www.tigerstylegames.com/wakingmars/
  2. shelley duvall is so hard to look at. Does she have grave's disease or something?
  3. the sound of Bear Grylls being attacked by a Predator drone the sound of earthworms being sliced by lasers
  4. oh man I'm crying from laughing too hard...haven't laughed so much in ages...
  5. all you have to do is look at Sean's happy face to realize they aren't going back to the "clenched fist" intensity and austerity. That's not them any longer. I expect the new album will be even looser and more weed influenced. That's how Move of Ten sounded to me, just a jammy noodly goof off session. Though I did like (most of) Oversteps. yes because that worked great for orbital :-)
  6. if the quantity of lols on this page is an indication, then no
  7. I'm still butthurt that during the Confield tour before the show, when I went up to talk to Sean, he was like "hey what's up" and then totally ignored me a second later when another fan came up and offered him a toke from his joint. Can't get between a man and his weed, lol.
  8. He's so high in that pic, pupils the size of dinner plates... In comparing Sean photos old and new, he seems to be enjoying the good life these days - he's completely lost his gauntness and intensity. He now looks like a cheerful, semi-deranged homeless guy that someone dragged in off the street and dressed for the shoot
  9. If your end is still tight after listening to Oversteps you're doing it wrong.
  10. Well didn't Ridley take footage from The Shining for (the original theater ending of) Blade Runner? I think his next film should be a Blade Runner/Shining mash-up where it turns out the kid's "Shining" is because he's a replicant. He and Deckard could set up the Overlook hotel as a haven for wayward replicants...
  11. people like to say incunabula is their weakest, probably because of some of the dated sounds. I think it's great and stands right up there with their best. For me, my fanaticism for the band waned a bit starting with 7.30 (loved the attention to detail but was bored by much of it, musically), sagged a bit more with Untilted, fell off a cliff more or less with Quaristice, but came bubbling back nicely with Oversteps.
  12. perfectly put. It's a bit hard to remember how stunning Oversteps was, after all the fakes and speculation. I remember...was it gl0tch? Someone responsible for some ae fakes, anyway...talking trash about it before it came out, and then when it was released he said something like "I'm sorry for having doubted you...I am humbled.." Something like that. I even burst into open laughter the first time known came on. But there was no doubting the sounds on the album were very new and different.
  13. Lol, I like how pompous and borderline-senile artists suddenly get the inspiration to explicitly tie some of their previously unrelated works together, like bands releasing a new album as "the conclusion to a trilogy" of two previous albums.
  14. I really liked O'Connor's short stories in high school, wonder what I'd think about them now. Though I'm not a Catholic nor have ever been, I enjoyed her hardcore "no excuses for living a bad life" approach. It's sort of like the Holden Caulfield "everyone's a phony"...but for Catholics.
  15. I think Nicky Minaj could do some phresh raps over their dope beats
  16. Designer's Republic should change their acronym from "TDR" to "TL;DR"
  17. The sound of Sean Booth ejaculating, timestretched and mixed with whalesong.
  18. New ae album announced! thank you. That will be $130.
